So it seems Im back for now. Met with Dr Cardone (willing to work with me). Of course its a year older and we need to see ;abs again Yikes. Also CCCT issue again because I have insurance. Im debating about taking it. Thing is, Dr C says we might be able to do an iui clomid cycle this month if I have no polyps since ill be taking the ccct anyway.

To take the clomid or not?

What is the risk/benefit of giving false start day (I think my period gives me enough notive to report day 1 1 or two days early. WOuld my fsh be definately lower on a day one than three? I need to have flow because they will do ultrasound for antrals. Would they show up at day one?
I really could use the boost of having a few cycles covered. Looking for comments suggestions. Also fyi, I started with 11, then 9 antrals on the cycles.

Love and positive thoughts to all.

Me 42.8
FSH 24.7 (3/11* cd3) 10.4 (4/11 cd4) 12 (5/11 late cd4) 16 (6/11 post 2 stim cycles)

with no luck and it's made your fsh rocket, just don't take it for the CCT...to get the cover, then go from there.
Clomid is notorious for stuffing up women our age, IMHO....
Hey your AFC is pretty good....
good luck....

ETA: yes, your FSH should be lower on Day 1 than Day 3...

Lauranz. Great to get some feedback. Never took Clomid so IDK. RE is generally against it for women over 40, but did say that for some women, it is part of what will work for them, but you just cant tell ahead of time. Im going too try to get the test done a day or 2 early if I can.
Ill let you know!!!

at risk of sounding terribly mendacious, i wouldn't think twice about not taking the clomid and fudging the start of your cycle date to finesse the best result for yourself. just be careful, you don't want to be too clever by half! i would worry that they wouldn't see the antrals on CD1 and that might make them judge your chances poorly and backfire. i've never done clomid and can't really give any good advice, but some women on this board have definitely had success with it. when you do the CCCT are you moving forward with that cycle ttc or is it all just to test your response in a mock cycle?

as for protocol, you might look into famera as an alternative. i don't know if it was the procuring cause, but i just got my BFP after 1.5 years since my last mc using famera for 5 days followed by 75 follistim. i'm thinking there is something about clomid and famera and their effect on estrogen that is helpful for some. and don't worry about being a year older - you never know when that golden egg is ready and waiting for you!

anyway, i wanted to wish you good luck. it sounds like you are putting yourself in a good position to succeed...

Im worried about the antrals not showing, so I do need to check that out. Ill have to look up the femara. Its difficult cuz I dont want to take the clomid and fail the CCCT. But, I do want to see the effect clomid has on me in terms of getting bfp. The Dr suggested going ahead with an IUI after the CCCT (as long as other results checked out).

But then again, Ive never had an unmedicated iui... is that something worth trying?

if you want to try clomid anyway, then maybe doing the CCCT is just killing two birds with one stone? and other than the $$, seems like a great idea to do an IUI and not waste the cycle.
i hope the clomid works for you...!
