I love them! My cousin (a piper) was obsessed when they were on When Will I Be Famous? a few years ago. I find them highly amusing.

I finally had time to click and watch the video. They are great. Even my DH got a smile from it and a chuckle.

These lads are verra addicting, this was the first time I've ever listened to the whole PBS commercials, between their songs, just to hear the lead piper and his wonderful Scottish brogue...*swoon*

That's interesting. Thank you for posting the link.

I read not long ago this book written by an American (whos not Scot or descending from one), the book is very well written, with great historical analysis (of course some of them very subjective~but what is history? nothing but real facts written and re written, turned up side down and inside out to serve a certain purpose) and filled with very interesting facts.
It reads easily, so i would recommend it for the ones interested in history to read it:
"How the Scots Invented the Modern World: The True Story of How Western Europe's Poorest Nation Created Our World & Everything in It" by Arthur Herman

I saw that too. For a brief moment, I thought we should get a dog like that.

That is amazing, although the sighthounds have been doing very well over the past 5 or so years. I used to show my dogs, which are Australian Cattle dogs. I handled my girl, Quinn to her Championship, and then I bred her. I have 2 of her sons, which I was going to show, then other things in life got into the way. Quinn's mom won best of opposite sex a few years ago! I was lucky enough to be able to go to Westminster that year and watch her win.
Congrats to the Deerhound! I was looking at the results on Monday, and I saw the winning photo of the Deerhound. Very nice dog. I was actually thinking about them as my next breed, but I think my Cattle kids will be with me for a while!

Now I just have to ask, How come my photos always come out so tiny??? You have to click on the picture for it to expand, but I don't see that happenning to anyone else? What's up with that?

I know! That's why I couldn't wait to post it! I love dogs too, so I'm just happy to be announcing great Scottish dog news. I suppose this could be in the "Outlander bend" category?
