=W=eezer!

They only had 5 albums, with 1 or 2 bad ones...but I found all the archives of Mr. Rivers Cuomo and have in my possession hundreds of Weezer/Rivers songs (about 600). And you know what, they're all well written and the majority are albumafiable.

Anyway, I never really listened to them. Heard some of the "blue" and "green" albums- not bad, but not really my kind of music.

"Pinkerton" is often said to be quite underrated, and possibly their best, but I never heard it.

Rivers got married and settled down, but still writes music apparently. If you were to ever hear a Weezer album, it should be Pinkerton. Blue was original and cool, Green was simple pop, Maladroit (numero 4) was sorta metal-pop? weird shit but not bad haha and Make Believe was kinda emo...

Pretty inoffensive pop-rock (geek rock). Singing about Buddy Holly is really crap since the whole milieu of their work can't even compare to any one song the Bespectacled Genius did.

And I feel like Buddy Holly, cos it's raining in my heart.

...as in a Weezer fan saying, "Hey, this song is named after a guy who's supposed to be one of the key figures in the formation of rock n' roll- also, Weezer obviously like him! I think I'll check out his music!"

What's there to "get into" anyway? All three chords and nice melodies.
