Browns Preseason Opener
The Cleveland Browns had their preseason opener last night, at FirstEnergy Stadium. They played the New Orleans Saints and even though it was only a preseason game, it was still exciting to watch.
The Browns defense played pretty well and at one point late in the game, the Saints were at the 3-yard line with a first down, but the Browns put up a stand and in the ensuing plays, the Saints only went backward. On fourth-and-goal from the 2, Browns defensive back Briean Boddy-Calhoun, hit the Saints wide receiver TommyLee Lewis for a 7-yard loss, stopping the drive and the score.
Rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer, led the Browns on two touchdown drives, in the fourth quarter, one of which was a 45-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Payton, with 1:52 left in the game. The final score was the Browns beating the Saints, 20-14.
