For those who are new to the Nuzlocke Games series, hi! Here's a quick summary of how the run works: Based around the popular book series by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games, The Nuzlocke Games is a communitylocke (also dubbed 'competitionlocke') where a group of 12 Nuzlockers, known as 'tributes', play through a randomised Pokemon game. At certain points throughout the game, such as key landmarks or after crucial plot events, the tributes will check in with the team they have raised so far, and two tributes will battle with the teams they have raised so far using an online simulator. Winning these battles can earn you valuable rewards that will help you throughout your journey, while losing can result in a penalty, or in some cases, elimination. The Games continue in this manner until only 1 tribute remains, who is declared the winner. In addition, much like the Hunger Games, as viewers of the run, YOU get to be involved in the run as a sponsor! A sponsor is a viewer of the run who can send gifts to their favourite tributes to help them in the game. More information on sponsorship is listed by 7th Y below this post. Of course, there are quite a few twists and turns along that way to keep things exciting, but that's the overall framework of the run. See below for the official trailer of the Games:
We opened a separate thread in the challenge discussion section of the forums, where people could express their interest in participating. Over 40 people volunteered to participate, and from that list, we have randomly selected 18 tributes, as well as 8 reserves (who will replace our tributes if they drop out), the results of which can be found here:
- [+] Rules and a bit of a
- [+] 0. Rules for Tributes, sponsors and general viewers
a) Please be wary of posting spam to the thread. In a run with 18 people posting updates about their gameplay, 3 gamemakers posting important rule updates/answers to FAQs, as well as viewers giving feedback and posting that they would like to send a gift to their favourite tribute(s) as a sponsor, posts have a tendency to pile up quite quickly. Where possible, try to quickly have a speed read through any new posts to make sure you aren't repeating things and adding clutter to the thread. It will make reading things easier on everyone if we all pitch in and do our bit.
b) When posting to the thread, if you are posting something reasonably lengthy, like an update or plot, please use spoiler tags. This will mean pages load a lot quicker for people, and will make scrolling through a lot easier. Given the anticipated traffic to the thread, if you are posting an update or some form of story, you might also like to consider including a short summary of your post at the end (often called a "TL;DR" version) to help people who have fallen behind catch up on your story quickly.
c) SPONSORS! Howdy! 7th Y, one of the tributes from the 2nd Nuzlocke Games will be helping us out with our sponsor system this time around, so please keep an eye out for posts from her regarding any updates concerning you guys.
d) Sponsors and general viewers can contribute to this community in a lot of ways: You can ask to join our Skype group, where we chat all things Nuzlocke Games, Pokemon in general, and get to know each other (please note, this chat group will only be open to tributes for the first few days of the Games, in order to make sure they are settling in and so they can get to know each other a bit before we introduce more people to the group. We will post to this thread when the group is officially open to all viewers), send sponsor gifts using the sponsor system to help your favourite tributes succeed (For more information on this, please see 7th Y's post below this), and by writing 'sponsor/viewer plot'. 'Sponsor/viewer plot' is your chance to get involved and get creative by pretending you are in the world of the Nuzlocke Games. You can write short snippets that simply show how you would react to the events being posted about, or explain why you think someone might like your favourite tribute. For context, sponsors are typically quite rich and live in what is known as the "capitol". Most find the Games thoroughly enjoying (as barbaric as they might be), and cheer for their favourites devoutly each year. In a chaotic world where the Dictator has recently died, people are revolting in the streets and everything is falling apart, the Games are regarded as the one consistent thing in the lives of many, and are the one source of joy and entertainment many find in this world. Sponsor plot is entirely up to you, and although the main focus of the run is the tributes (and hence, sponsor plot is often only a trivial addition), previous sponsors have had immense fun writing short little posts and creating characters. However, please note, the same writing/plot recommendations applied to tributes generally apply to sponsors as well (see below). Be respectful of other people's writing and do not 'God-mod' and overpower everyone else.
e) Tributes are not allowed to explicitly state what gifts they would want sponsors to send them in their posts, and cannot contact sponsors privately to tell them their desires. This is done to mimic the fact that while in the arena, your character will not have any means of contacting the outside world. It is up to sponsors to decide how they would like to spend their credits and what they think would be most helpful to you.
- [+] 1. Standard Nuzlocke Rules:
a) Tributes may only catch the first encounter they find in any new area. Gift Pokemon, such as starters or eggs do not count towards this, unless explicitly stated. This rule can only be changed by express permission from myself (TheProjectCore), Geo or The One and Only e.g. a potential reward might be getting the chance to make a bonus catch.
b) If a Pokemon faints as a result of battle, it is dead, and must be permanently boxed or released. The only exception to this rule is for online battles. If a Pokemon faints as a result of an online battle with another tribute, it is not considered dead.
c) Tributes are encouraged to nickname all their Pokemon.
d) We have self-randomised your game for you already, however, it is possible that there may be some glitches that we are not aware of. If you notice a glitch/bug, please let us know immediately. One glitch that we are aware of is that some roms will still have illegal Pokemon appear in the wild. These Pokemon are:
- [+] 2. Posting Frequency:
a) In order to keep the Games progressing at a standard rate, tributes are required to update to the thread within 72 hours of being given an instruction. Updates must contain a sufficent number of screenshots to show progress throughout the game, and include a check-in with their team (more details on check-ins can be found below).
b) In cases of unavoidable absence (because sometimes real life issues do get in the way, and we recognise that real life should come before the Games), alternatives may be arranged, however, they must be approved by myself, Geo and/or The One and Only, and tributes must notify us as soon as they are aware that they will be absent so that we can try to find alternative arrangements. We will assess all submitted reasons for extended absence, however, we reserve the right to accept or reject these reasons at our own discretion. Please try to update where possible, unless absolutely unavoidable, and where possible, let us know. We normally won't require you to make too much progress between checkpoints, normally no more than 1 or 2 towns of gameplay or 5 levels worth of grinding, so you should be able to find the time to update regularly, but if you can't, again, LET US KNOW. We can't help you if we don't know that there is a problem.
c) To help aid in communication, all tributes must have a Skype account so that they can contact myself, Geo or The One and Only via instant message to discuss any problems they might be having with updating. Tributes (and viewers) are also encouraged to use the Skype group chat where possible to prevent spam and clutter from appearing in the thread, as this will maximise readability for all involved. Posting comments and asking questions is fine, but pointless posts and idle chatter is considered spam, and is against forum policy, and you could be risking your account status if you post spam-like replies in excess.
- [+] 3. Check-ins:
a) At the end of each update (typically when a tribute reaches a 'battle point'), tributes must 'check-in'. Checking-in involves showing that you have reached the target destination (and the steps taken to get there), and including a 'statshot' of your team. A stat-shot involves showing the stat section of the summary information for a Pokemon, which lists their level, HP, attack, defence, EXP, etc. Showing move-sets of Pokemon is optional.
b) A tribute may check-in to a battle point with up to 9 Pokemon. If chosen to battle at this battle point, the tribute may only choose from the 9 Pokemon which they checked in with, unless otherwise stated.
c) If the tribute is the first to reach a 'battle point', they have 'claimed' the battle point. This entitles them to check-in with up to 12 Pokemon, will make them one of the 2 tributes at that battle point who will battle, and allows them to choose their opponent for this battle once other tributes have been given sufficient time to catch up (normally within 72 hours of the tribute who claimed the battle point checking-in, unless stated otherwise). If all tributes have checked-in, the trainer who claimed the battle point can announce who they are challenging before the 72 hours have elapsed. However, if even only 1 tribute is yet to check in, unless myself, Geo or The One and Only state otherwise, the claiming tribute must wait before making their decision, even if their desired opponent has already checked in.
d) If the battle-point is located after a gym battle (e.g. the battle point is labelled "Falkner's Gym"), tributes must include a 'team-shot' of their team as soon as the battle is over. In other words, as soon as you defeat a gym leader, you must press start, go to Pokemon, and show us your party you used to defeat the gym leader and their current health status.
e) If a tribute fails to check in on time or check in correctly, they may receive a penalty, or, if chosen to battle, be forced to battle with their team that they last checked-in with, even if this means they are below the 'level-limit' for that battle point.
f) Tributes must make sure that when they check-in that they are below the level limit. A level limit is a level which is stated alongside every battle point which says you cannot grind above that level. This is to make sure battles in-game remain suitably challenging, and so that all tributes are on a level playing field. If you accidentally overlevel one or two Pokemon from time to time (e.g. in a gym battle where you have relied on mainly one Pokemon), we are willing to be lenient, but if chosen to battle at the battle point, you must reduce your party members to the relevant level when battling.
g) The following would be considered a valid check in:
Obviously, if that were a real update, Geo would need to include more in his post to show how he actually got to the Petalburg Woods from his last check in point, but as a check in itself, he's ticked the boxes. He has shown where he is, and the statshots of his current team. Hypothetically, if he had just beaten a gym leader, he would also have to show a 'teamshot', such as this:Geo wrote:
I finally reached the battle point near the Petalburg Woods. I decided to hide though, in case another tribute sees me. I quickly looked at my team to see how they have grown.
My team is coming along nicely!
Except his Pokemon would probably not be at perfect health, seeing as you must take the teamshot IMMEDIATELY after beating the gym leader.
- [+] 4. Online Battles:
a) Online battles cannot be made within the first 24 hours of a challenge being made so that sponsors may place bets on the outcome of the battle. Battles should then be conducted within the next 24-48 hours after this, where possible. If 2 tributes are set to battle, they are urged to contact each other straight away via PM/Skype to try to arrange a suitable time to battle (this is particularly important since not all tributes are from the same country, and you may have to work around time zones). Failure to complete a battle within a suitable time may result in a random winner being decided by the Gamemakers, or, if sufficient evidence is provided, victory may be awarded to the player who has most actively tried to get the battle to happen.
b) When participating in a battle online, you may only use the Pokemon that you checked into the battle point with. In addition, when entering their details into Pokemon online, you must enter them exactly as they appear in your game at the time of checking in. This means they must have the same moves, nature, stats and level. For assistance, you might want to consider using tools like Enciclopedia or an IV calculator to accurately determine your Pokemon's IVs and EVs to get their stats as accurate as possible.
c) Held items in online battles can be any item which you have acquired in your game so far. However, you can only use as many copies of an items as you have in your game. For example, you cannot give all 6 Pokemon a Silk Scarf if you only own 1 in-game. Furthermore, if an item is 'one use only' such as a berry, if it is used in an online battle, it must be disposed of in game.
- [+] 5. Hacking:
a) External resources, such as GameShark or ActionReplay codes, Pokemon makers, save editors, etc may be used, but only to hack in an approved reward, gifts from sponsors or to check data like IVs/EVs. Using cheating devices for other purposes, such as illegally levelling up Pokemon, hacking in unauthorised items or manipulating data such as EVs and IVs is a serious breach of rules and is severely unfair to other competitors, and will not be tolerated.
b) Move Coins, an item that you can receive as a reward or as a gift from sponsors, allow you to teach a Pokemon a move that they otherwise would not be able to obtain, such as an egg move, a move tutor move, an event move or a move learned by a previous evolution. If using a Move Coin for this purpose, you must make sure that the combination of moves is legal (e.g. if you have taught a Pokemon 2 or more egg moves, but it would not normally be possible to chain breed those moves onto the Pokemon, the combination is illegal. If unsure whether a combination is legal, check Bulbapedia, or try programming the desired move combination into Pokemon online - if the combo is illegal, Pokemon Online will display a notice), and must also make sure you meet the relevant conditions (e.g. You cannot teach a Breloom the move Spore simply because its pre-evolution, Shroomish learns it, unless the conditions for Shroomish to learn the move are met: If your Breloom is at or above the level where Shroomish naturally learns spore (level 54), THEN you may use your move coin to teach that move). In order to keep track of move coin usage, if you wish to use a move coin, you must notify Geo of the move you wish to teach and which Pokemon you are teaching it to.
c) Before doing any hacking, tributes are strongly advised to create a back up of their file. Sometimes hacking does go wrong, and the last thing you want is to lose your progress because you pressed a few buttons incorrectly. Take your time, and make sure you have a backup of your save data, just in case...
- [+] 6. Alliances:
a) Tributes may form alliances with one another throughout the Games. Alliances allow tributes to have practice battles with one another, arrange truces ("I won't challenge you if I claim a battle point if you won't challenge me?") and trade items and/or Pokemon.
b) Alliances must be arranged by private messages only. Do not post to the thread with messages along the lines of "Hey, does anyone want to be my ally?". In addition, if you do form an official alliance with someone, you must officially declare so in your next update. This has been added these Games to prevent someone from simply asking all tributes privately to be their ally, and then coasting through the game without fear of being challenged simply because they have a truce with all other tributes. Believe us, it is in your best interests for everyone to announce their alliances (even if only subtly) in public so that you yourself do not get duped (because if someone is willing to form a secret alliance with you, they are probably doing the same with every tribute, which means you really have nothing to gain from that alliance and are simply being used).
c) An alliance may be dissolved by either party at any time.
d) Trading Pokemon is strictly limited. Before checking-in at any battle point, each tribute is allowed to complete a maximum of 1 trade. This means that if Tribute A makes a trade with Tribute B, Tributes A and B cannot complete another trade until after the current battle point has been completed (this includes making additional trades with other players beyond this first trade (ie: if Tribute A trades with Tribute B, Tribute A cannot trade with anybody until the next battle point is announced and they are given permission to move on)). All trades must be announced by both players in their next update. When completing a trade, it is the responsibility of both tributes to ensure that they communicate the necessary data correctly. Deliberately sending false data or entering in data falsely for your own benefit is considered cheating.
e) Once a tribute has checked-in to a battle point, they can no longer complete trades with their allies. These limitations have been introduced in order to prevent overpowered defensive trading after someone has been challenged to a battle.
f) Pokemon that require a trade to evolve such as Machoke->Machamp, Kadabra->Alakazam, Porygon->Porygon2 etc can only be evolved by trading with an ally. If you wish to get this Pokemon back, you and your ally will need to trade again after the current battle point is completed.
g) In order to make alliances more balanced (since they have been overpowered previously), we are introducing a risk/reward system. At any stage, a tribute may be contacted by a Gamemaker regarding their alliance(s). Tributes may be offered the chance to "betray" an ally in exchange for a significant reward. This addition, once again, has been added to ensure that tributes do not abuse alliances, and consider entering them carefully knowing that they may be betrayed at any stage. Alliances are still a very powerful tool to have and have many benefits, however, it is recommended that you trust someone before entering one, just in case. It is now less of a case of "Win/Win no matter what the outcome" and more of "There's a lot to gain, but I should be careful".
h) Tributes reserve the right to reject an offer to join an alliance if it is offered to them. In cases such as this, the decline to join should be interpreted as a strategic move rather than a personal one, to avoid tributes taking offense to this rejection.
- [+] 7. Rivalries:
a) We understand that the Nuzlocke Games is a competition based run, which makes you compete with other members of our community in a competitive manner. While we encourage you to try your best to win and to think strategically, it is of the utmost importance that this community remains positive and nurturing. The Games are designed to be a fun experience for all involved, and as such, instances of cyber bullying will not be tolerated. Friendly banter or light 'trash talk' is fine, as is having an open rivalry and declaring that you want to eliminate a particular contestant for strategic reasons. However, if we find that tributes (or viewers, even) are being intentionally aggressive in a way which constitutes bullying, defamation, or generally endangering an individual's personal welfare, we will take immediate action. Be competitive, by all means, but do not do so by being mean and horrible, or you may forfeit your place in the competition. Friendly competition is great, and that's what we're aiming for, and we hope that even if you don't win the Nuzlocke Games, when your time comes, you can say you've had a fun time playing. If you feel you are having issues with another member of the community, please, consult myself, ('Momma') Geo or The One and Only so that we can try to help (Geo has even had some experience and training with counseling and conflict resolution, so please, if you are in trouble, don't be silent. Where possible, we can try to keep matters confidential, except for where other Gamemakers need to be alerted or sought for advice, or where another party in the conflict needs to be contacted to try to resolve the issue. Your welfare is important).
b) Tributes are reminded that in some instances, other tributes may be awarded power that grants them the ability to reward themselves at the expense of penalising someone else. In most cases, such penalties rarely stem from a personal grudge, and are simply part of the Game. If you are penalised in this way, you are entitled to feel whatever emotions you choose about it, but we urge you not to take things too personally, and remind you that this is simply a Game. Remember the context of the Nuzlocke Games: You are all fighting to stay alive. If you are eliminated, you character dies. In matters of life and death, a character taking an opportunity to better their chance of survival at the expense of someone else is totally reasonable in most cases. If need be, use the penalty as motivation to get stronger and extract revenge on that tribute at a later date by perhaps beating them in battle. Again, if you feel your emotional welfare is endangered at all, we are available to help you through it, even if you just want someone to vent to who won't be critical of you.
- [+] 8. Reading:
a) Tributes are expected to read all posts made to the thread by a Gamemaker, as they may contain important information. It is also highly encouraged that they read posts made by 7th Y, as she will be assisting with sponsorship these Games, and she may have a gift from a sponsor to give you. PLEASE NOTE: Sponsor gifts should not be hacked into your game until they have been authorised by 7th Y or a Gamemaker, just in case your sponsor does not have enough credit to complete their purchase.
b) Other posts to the thread are considered optional reading. It might be a good idea to read some general viewer comments to find out how you and your fellow tributes are being perceived, but it is not obligatory. Similarly, you are highly encouraged to read the posts of your fellow tributes so that you can see how they are going, compare yourself to them, and also make sure you do not make any contradictions to their plot points.
- [+] 9. Plot Content (less of a rule and more of a polite request):
a) As this is a communitylocke, we need to make sure we work together as story makers. You will likely all create your own story for your characters, and how you shape this is entirely up to you. Be original, be quirky, try to win over sponsors. Creativity is definitely encouraged, as interesting characters makes for interesting stories. However, please be mindful of other tributes stories and respect them as artists. Do not 'God-mod' your plot, or treat your plot in such a way that it is superior to that belonging to others. The stories we all tell are equal. Do not back another tribute into a corner with your plot or include them in a significant way if you do not have their permission. Invasive plot can be both immature and insulting towards someone else's writing, as it implies that you do not care about what other people are trying to say, so long as everyone can hear your point of view. If you are unsure whether your plot may be considered invasive, contact a Gamemaker. (That being said, by all means, be creative and include/reference other people in your plot! But make sure you have the relevant permission to do so and that you respect everyone else in doing so.)
b) Remember the brief context of the Games when writing. You are a teenager who has been selected from the lottery to compete in a battle royale 18-way fight to the death for the entertainment of those watching you on television. The odds are stacked against you: You are likely to die. It is quite likely, given the context, that you do not have very much power, seeing as you are from an area known as a "district" which lives a life of relative poverty when compared to those in "The Capitol". It's possible that you might have 'volunteered' for a noble reason or because your character thinks they have what it takes to win and wants the glory associated with victory, but even then, they do not have a lot of power over the course their life is about to take. All that being said, it probably doesn't make very much sense for your character to be all-powerful with god-smiting superpowers and the ability to travel to alternate dimensions and with infinite resources to blow up a building. Give your characters any personality and guidance you like, but just be mindful to be realistic, as the tributes who tend to write from a more contextualised perspective and who have an element of relatableness and realism to their characters are the ones who have tended to be the most popular, and most successful, in the past.
- [+] 10. Reserves:
a) Reserves are asked to try to remain semi-up to date with following the run, in case a position becomes available for you. You will be contacted directly if someone drops out and you are next on our list, but remaining semi-familiar with everything is probably a good idea, as it will save you excessive reading to catch up if you do get offered a place.
b) Reserves will be contacted in the order they are listed.
c) We reserve the right to stop using reserves after a certain time, and to use another method of accounting for a player if they drop out after a certain point. This is to ensure the Games continue with as few delays as possible (since catching up when we are in the latter half of the region with very little notice could be very stressful for you and for the other tributes who are waiting for you to catch up) and in the interest of fairness, since, for example, someone new coming in at say the final 6 would feel unfair to those who have had to work hard to make it to those later stages, and also to those who have been eliminated naturally after several weeks of hard work. If you do not get a chance to play the Games as a reserve, if you choose to sign up for the Games again in the future, your name will be entered into the RNG an additional time.
The second task is for you to tell us all a little bit about yourself. Some things are from an administrative point of view, so that Geo, The One and Only and myself can help you as best as possible (e.g. timezones), while others are a chance for you to introduce yourselves to the viewers and sponsors, who will be a valuable asset to you in the Games. It is a brilliant chance to make a good first impression with people, so use it wisely! Please answer all of these questions as a post to the thread. The final question is particularly important, so you will need to read the posts made by other tributes who have answered first before replying with your own thoughts.
- [+] Q and A for Tributes
- Q1. Did you get to watch the previous Games in your district? Who were your favourite tributes and why? (It's OK if you haven't, and if you have, your answers don't HAVE to be Geo or Luke =P)
Q2. Why did you sign up for the Nuzlocke Games?
Q3. Do you know how to do basic hacking with Gameshark/Actionreplay codes and/or programs such as Enciclopedia or Ciros Pokemon Maker? NOTE: You will need the assistance of these tools for things such as sponsor gifts.
Q4. Do you know of any period of time when you will be unavailable for longer than 2 days? (48 hours)
Q5. Where are you from in real life and what is your timezone?
Q6. Is there anything you want to say to sponsors/general viewers?
Q7. Do you have any specific plans/strategies for the games?
Q8. Tell us something cool about yourself in real life! (Doesn't have to be deeply personal. Can be as simple as "I love chocolate!" if you like =) )
Q9. What sets you apart from the other tributes/What makes you special/Why do you think you will make a good tribute?
Q10. What is your preferred battle style?
Q11. Briefly describe your character in 100 words or less? (if you're unsure what to do with your character yet, look back at the reaping video: Towards the end, where it says "who will win?" it shows the seals of the 12 districts of Panem, the fictional country in the Hunger Games. Each district specialises in making a certain product or providing a certain service. Perhaps choose a random number from 1-12 and look at the work focus associated with that district and work from there?)
Q12. Below is a collection of 18 Pokemon:
Which one of these would you like to be your starter Pokemon? And an optional side question: why? (Note: if someone else has already picked the one you want, you have to choose another. These starters are first come first serve. E.g. if someone has already answered "Mankey" before you have, you cannot choose Mankey.)
NOTE: You cannot simply answer the final question to get first dibs on a starter and come back later and edit your post to answer the other questions. The questions must be answered as a complete set.
As the original poster, here's some of my plot to kick things off!
- [+] Core's Plot
"Mother!" A young boy said as he was carrying his ailing mother into the basement, he had to hurry before those people got in.
"Sam. Please just leave me..." the mother begged her child. She started to cough violently and fell to the floor. Sam started to tear up and tried to pick up his mother. Suddenly there was a bang on the door.
"Sasha you dumb bitch open up the damn door! We know your fucking in there!" the person outside screamed.
"Mom! Mom! We have to go now! There at the door!" Sam said trying to pull his mother down into the basement. Sasha tried to protest but it was to late, the door was pushed down by a Rhyhorn. Two men burst in wearing a bandanna, they also had a shirt that had the sing of the Capitol on Fire.
"Alright Sasha, you've been telling Project and his shitty ass Peacekeepers about are plans." one of the men said. He walked over to Sasha and kicked her in the face.
"Mom! Please stop! She didn't mean it, please mister just leave her alone!" Sam said begging for his mothers life. The other guy came over and kicked Sam to the ground. An Infernape came and grabbed the boy pinning him to the wall.
"No, please Allen leave my son alone he had nothing to do with this!" Sasha pleaded.
Allen laughed and nodded to his friend. The other guy took out a match and threw it at the curtain.
"You trust that shitty capitol that couldn't even find Core's will. And because of that were all in a giant shit hole. " Allen said to her.
"So what if they can't find Core's will! Geo, Luke and Project are taking fine care of us! They will save Poke-Panem!" Sasha screamed.
Allen scoffed and snapped his fingers, the Rhyorn charged at Sasha and impaled her on it's horn.
"Mom!" Sam screamed as the Infernape headbutted him knocking the boy out. Allen and the other man along with their pokemon left, as the house burned down.
"Yes sir, it was those damn Revolutionists again." the Peacekeeper said patching himself to Project.
"Alright. Try to find the bodies, stay safe the Revolutionists could still be out there." Project said turning off his mic. Project looked at the painting of Core above a couch.
"Auon. Why did this have to happen, the plan was perfect." Hephaestus who was disguised under the ruse of Project and could pass as Core's younger brother. Since Core had died the Poke-Panem has been in an outrage, their glorious leader had been killed and his will could not be found.
"Nine months. It's been nine months." Hephaestus said, since then a rag tag group of rebels deeming themselves the Revolutionists have been committing acts of crimes against the Capitol. Poke-Panem has been in mass mayhem and unrest since then. Having to pay for most of the the damage done in Poke-Panem, economy has been down. Job rates have plummeted since people are to afraid to go to work. It's been utter hell.
"Hephaestus" Geo said as he and Luke walked in.
"Geo. Luke. What is it?" Hephaestus asked.
"We need to talk. The people are outside, they REALLY want a dictator of some sort. " Geo said slamming his hands on the desk.
"Well until Core's will is found we can't declare anyone of us a leader. "
"So what the hell do we do?" Geo asked.
"Well we need a distraction... so why not start the games again?" Luke said, shrugging.
"You can't be serious can you Luke?" Geo asked.
"If Core was going to create an army from the games in order to fight the gods, then we should continue the games. It'd be a great distraction while we try to find Core's will. Besides, it'd help in Core's plan" Luke said.
"He's right, it's our best option" Hephaestus said.
"We can't just let the games go on! It caused to much shit during the last games! It'd be better if we just let is stay dead!" Geo protested.
"Do you have any better ideas Geo?" Hephaestus asked him. The three sat in silence, which is odd considering whenever they were in a room together it was always Hephaestus and Geo arguing, Luke never said much.
"...Fine, we'll tell the people... the games are back on." Geo said. "But don't expect me to be apart of it" he said as he turned on his heel and started to leave the room.
"Wait, Geo, what are you saying?" Luke asked.
"If the two of you really think that organizing the Games again to distract people and to try to win over their support is what we should be focusing on, far be it from me to stop you" Geo said, rising from his seat. "Last year, I organised the Games in Core's absence when he was held prisoner by Dave. I did so because I thought I had no choice. That if I opposed the powers in charge, I'd be killed. But now I know better. We should be focusing on making ourselves stronger, not training up a new person at the cost of the lives of 11 other innocent children. So, as of tomorrow morning, I will be leaving the Capitol." Geo said.
"You will do no such thing! Don't you realize that we need to work together in this time of crisis?" Hephaestus said angrily.
"Really? All we do is fight and argue! No I disagree with the direction you are taking, but I know I can do nothing to stop you. Arguing will achieve nothing. The best thing I can do is leave the Capitol and commence training for when the war is upon us. Alone." Geo replied, turning on his heel and leaving the room without glancing back.
"Oh Father, of all the tributes to win a game." Hephaestus said.
