Here's it shooting
http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/vv32 ... 1260490900
Here's its stats
This a newly released assault rifle started to be developed in 1999. They fire a 7.00mm x 48mm bullet. It is more reliable than an AK if you purchase a automatic cleaning system. It's only 1 million NSD for an order over 70,000 of its type of gun. It is basically designed of of a Barrett M4-68 Assault Rifle. If you have a HBWI weapons factory in your nation this can be made in your factory. The shipping of this weapon will be over 2 weeks because it was added on the date 12/10 and started to be manufactured on the date of 12/08. The firing mechanism is designed like the Steyr AUG. Pull all the way done for Auto, Pull slightly for semi, and pull to the middle for 3 round burst. There is a switch at the bottom of the pistol grip for safety.

Caliber: 7.00mm x 48mm
Length: 9 feet
Weight(Without Magazine): 5.11 lbs
Weight(With Magazine): 6.11 lbs
Magazine Weight: 2 lb
Magazine Capacity: 35 bullets
Modes: Semi, 3 round burst, Auto, and Safety
Cost: $670 NSD

-The weapon's too large.
-The weapon's too cheap.
-The weapon's too light.
-The magazines are too light, as well.
-An automatic cleaning system?
-I assume you made up the 7.00mm x 48mm round, since it doesn't exist.
-There is no fire-type options on the weapon.

Before this becomes a race to the bottom, I'd recommend a quick lookover of real world weapons, attachments, et cetera. Or get on IRC:
irc://irc.esper.net/nsarms
or get on esper.net and join #nsarms
Someone ought to be able to give ye a hand fluffing it up.

And would someone ban Marinetus?

Stick with the critique of weapons as history isnt your forte.

This portion of the board isnt a place for debating historical controversies.

To the OP>

The weapon as it stands is made of pure fail. From its ridiculous stats to its pimpfail imagery.

Please at the very least do some research on the sites linked below:

No, you will not get any sympathy if you dont want to do even the most cursory of research.

No polls please, not this soon.

So where to even begin...

Basing it on the M468/REC-7 isn't a terrible idea although you might just want to describe the mechanism as opposed to just stating what you basing it on.

The round sounds reasonable although before jumping into designing your own round I would suggest getting yourself a working familarity with the energy equation and some basic external ballistics. You coudl always just side step this and use 7x43mm/.280 British.

The automatic cleanign system isn't soemthing you should mention until you have a good idea of how it works and can explain and defend it, a tthe moment it just feels like an ass pull.

The length if quite ludicrous at 3 yard/3m (roughly), do you normally use metric or imperial measurements? If so use the one you are msot comfortable and try to visualise holding your weapon.

Your empty weight is definitely on the light side for a 7mm rifle and you seem to have a made a slight mistake in your maths in regard to the magazine weight and loaded weights.

a 35 roudn magazine of a 7mm cartridge would liekly be a bit on the cumberson side, so 25 or 30 roudns would be prefferable, for a 30 round mag you would be looking at about 1.5lbs for the loaded magazine.

On fire modes semi and semi-auto are the same thing.

Price wise its doable if you don't supply any extras (magazines, cleaning kits etc etc) with the gun.

Your weight figures don't even agree...

Please, do some research and enlighten youself. And don't use pimpmygun.

Also, we tend to use metric here.

lrn2 M16

Also, the M468 or whatever it's called now used a piston instead of direct impingement. If I remember right the direct impingement bit was supposed to be the self-cleaning part (like blowing dust out of your keyboard with compressed gas).

Actually, it just blew carbon and barrel-grit into the pressure-tube (and all over the reciever) and the units didn't have cleaning-rods thin enough to cram down them.

Solution was three-fold:

1. Use lube that repelled grit

2. Use cleaner burning powders

3. Issue cleaning-rods

How so?
Stevid: Well, you must be congratulated for creating an arsenal ship that hasn't been torn to shreds by the NSD Naval community. I've seen many arsenal ships go through here and been laughed at, but you've gone and designed one that everyone seems at least half okay with.  Well done.
Lyras: Competence-wise, an M-21 would comfortably be a match for the vast majority of NS-grade tanks.
Yanitaria: Compared to you, most designers look like they have ADD.
Ekraysia: I have to say, comparing your military equipment to that of the average NSer would be like comparing the T-34 to a hastily up-armoured elderly horse.
<Anemos> Sometimes I can't help but wonder if you're on a design team of some sort
