Got a new project for the summer, a '74 1200 beetle B-)

The plan is strip her right down, needs a few patches underneath, fresh paint (all over jim) Get crome handles, mirrors etc back on her. All ready has lowered beam, nice wheels and interior so just needs a few hundred hours of labour :)

Saw this the other night, cracking wee motor, straight and very solid, great interior and sits just right. Should be a quick turn around, soooooooo much potential in this B-)

Excellent buy!

Got it off a guy called Sean, think he's shanes cousin. If shane has an oval on a spit in his garage then we bought it from his house.

Got her home the other day and the work started

Engine out, glass out, panels off it, most of the body rubbed down.

New back panel in place, my first time welding a panel in :)

Time to start moving foward

I havent forgoten about this heap, how could I! As we dug deeper into it the whole car had been patched prety much everywhere, and the chasis welded to the floor around most of it :( So we decided the only way to sort it right was to pull it apart

Floors cut out

New ones test fitted

Some more striping

Nothing to take off now

Puting new floors in

All painted up
