Im trying to find out ( on other forum-sorry ) what a fifteen year old girl would wear in the 40s. I blackmailed my daughter to come to a reenactment weekend with us. Now taking how much makeup and the dress style of today they have , it has got to be something she will agree to wear.
Hoping to go to Whitby with her in tow, only she did agree to just one day not two.
I told her how many boys her age took part in uniforms.
Firstly she picked a slinky black number but I advised her that it would not be quite suitable with young lads especially as they would be carrying weapons and we did not want any accidents.
Any ideas please,
As 'teenagers' weren't invented in the UK until the 1950's I would imagine that a 15 year old girl would dress like a mini version of her mother with a slightly shorter skirt than an adult, and white ankle ankle socks!
