Hi there

I recently purchased an RGB Scart to use on my SNES to play SNES games (PAL - I'm in the UK.) As its the same connection for the N64, I thought I would try it on my N64. The sound comes through to the TV but no picture - any ideas? I have a Samsung HDTV. thanks

It could be down to your TV support.

Those SNES RGB Scarts are usually NTSC outputs. My TV (UK Based also) supports NTSC and PAL outputs.
You might be able to tweak the output settings in the Picture options on the telly, if still no picture test it out on someone elses TV.

I use Blaupunkt TV: http://www.tesco.com/direct/blaupunkt-4 ... d=273-0645

Picked it up for 160 not long ago, didn't know it had support until I powered up a NTSC output :P

Is your N64 RGB modded? Because by default the N64 does not produce an RGB output.

Aye thats a point however you can use a composite AV cable, I assumed this is Damonfdk was referring to!

Theres usually some confusion around component/composite/RGB.

Could you post a picture of the cable Damon?

He lead I have has a scart plug which goes in to the tv and the other end has a flat rectangle plug (like a wide and flattened USB) which fits in to the N64 and indeed the Snes where it works fine.
The n64 has not been changed or modified at all. Thanks peeps
