Was there ever an N64 game to make use of both the c-buttons AND D-pad at the same time? I'm trying to make an overlay controller and it's really important that I find this out.

Mischief Makers uses the the C-buttons for miniboosts and the D-Pad for movement + large boosts. Bangai-O had D-pad for moving and C-buttons for shooting, it's like a twin stick shooter so I'd say that's a good game to test with.

Hey Dew.

There are quite a few games which use the c buttons in game and the d buttons to navigate menus.

As far as in game controls, i know for sure that Mortal Kombat Trilogy uses the D pads for movement and the C buttons do high kick and low kick, while the A and B buttons high and low punch.

Im sure there are probable more examples, i just remember very well the first time i played MK on N64, being able to hold each side of the controller felt really different from holding the middle and 1 side.
