A few updates:

1. Viewpoint 2064 has been added. Holy Zaxxon, I WANT THIS GAME!! A shooter, both isometric and on-rails. This sequel to the arcade shooter Viewpoint clearly has great visuals (and every review I read about it said the same). It was shown off at Nintendo show in August of 1999 as a final version, and at that time, it was announced for release in November of 1999. In fact, this game was SOOO close to release that its price had actually been set in advertisements for the game (7,800Y or about $80 USD!!). Sammy, how can we ever forgive you???

If I were really good at making youtube videos about unreleased games, had an excellent presentation style and had a growing channel following, I would so launch a campaign to try to get this released/leaked. But, alas, I am not . . . if only there were someone here like that . . . :D

2. Glennplant's excellent Mini Racers/Tamiya Racing 64 review has been added here. Keep up the great work, glennplant!

3. Echo Delta vids have been updated. About 20 mins of game play added. It is a Japanese strategy game, so it probably won't cause to run out and buy an EverDrive64, but definitely an improvement over the last video. Gameplay reportedly has to do with ocean exploration and raising a sunken ship.

Five games added:

1. Animal Leader: Apparently later became the GameCube title “Cubivore”

2. O.D.T. (Or Die Trying): 3D Platformer that did gain its release on the PS1 and the PC. This Daily Motion video will have to be resized. Click on title, not picture to watch (that's my work-around), lol.

3. Frogger 2: Hooray, sequel to an arcade classic.

4. Jungle Emperor: Just a quick peek at a cancelled game developed by Shigeru Miyamoto

5. Survivor: Day One: Oh this one looked great (!).

Thanks, guys! Glad you are enjoying this thread. There are a few more out there to add to be sure.

Please note that I "fixed" the O.D.T. link by posting a static picture and placing the link in the title. (Click on ODT to watch). And give it a few seconds for Daily Motion to start the video.

@Boomdiers: Hey, I think that version is for the PC or PS1. That YouTuber has many ODT vids, one of which he identifies as being on the N64 (but its not that one). Thanks for posting though, motivated me to "fix" the ODT link!

ONE MORE UPDATE: Jungle Emperor's title was apparently "Kimba: Emperor of the Jungle". . . looks like they were angling for a Lion King installment for the N64.

THEY LIED TO US!!!!!!!

Harrier 2001. I got a kick out of this Nintendo Power Poster that came in my Nintendo Power (Star Wars Episode 1 Racer cover)

There is a long and sorted history for Harrier DD, then Harrier 2000, then Harrier 2001, but it just never happened. Although it must have been close to production, no video footage could be located by me.

Rev Limit. This one hurts this racer fan a little more. Rev Limit ad inside of the manual for Royal St. Andrews Golf Course:

There is but a single 6-second video clip of this racer's footage, which I have posted above. As salt in the wounds, Seta published one of my favorite racers of all time: F1: Built to Win for the NES. Could have been sweet.

This thread is awesome! :yeah:

@ bluedogrulez
Hey, is that Eiko No Saint Andrews, is see there in that pic?
I bought that game on eBay this weekend, have you played it, what do you think?
(Sorry for going off topic) :phear:

Edit: Read the text again, and see now that it is, sorry!

BDR: I haven't played it at length; it seems just OK. But its as close as I'll ever come to St. Andrews, lol.

yes, yes, YES!!! this is an awesome idea for a topic. A few years ago I started doing a lot of research into unreleased games, and apparently there are some Betas floating around on blank cartridges. Very nebulous and shady subject...I LOVE it! It does make me a bit sad knowing we'll never get to play them :/
