There was a full Jusco set that ended recently (10/31/13) - the final price? 224,222 yen (that's about $2,283). However, this auction also included a complete in box Clear Gray controller - which is VERY rare (only about 5 found so far). I threw in a bid for the lot at around $2000 but it was outbid, and I decided to just go to bed and forget it. Let someone else have it (I can tell it is someone using a proxy bidding service - so whoever they are, it's not a Japanese local).

Here's a pic of the auction lot:

I think it was the controller that bumped it up over $1000.

I saw it the first night at like $50, then saw it the next morning for $1500.

These Japanese (and American) resellers are becoming dumber and dumber. They're buying these things at ridiculous prices and sitting on them for months thinking they can charge someone even more. For example, all the hello macs.

I'm not saying that this is a reseller, but it definitely is a recent trend I noticed.

I don't think it is. The winner of the auction had the user ID of "kon*****" with a :cussfit: rating of 92150. It is definitely a user who was using a proxy bidding service.

@Cabanon: I agree with skittle, it is because it is a full CIB Jusco set but also it has the Clear Gray boxed controller with it as well. I would say they are each about $1000, so around $2000 is the value. But the fact that it ended close to $2300, throw in the commission fees that this person will have to pay, and the international shipping fees, I would imagine this is well over $2500, probably closer to $2600 or $2700 for everything in this set.

Looks like its going up to me. That's like triple what I sold my last one for, given it was loose though.
