I reckon be patient why pay so much for a controller if you pook at it youre paying all that money just for the gold N logo. If I was to spend that kind of money it would be for a boxed jusco system.

You get a random occurrence where someone is not greedy and will sell stuff at a decent price so be patient all good things come to those who wait :yeah:

I think the pricetag of $1000 is excessive too. I made note my the prices I think are fair in my video Lithium017's N64 Controller Pricing Guide at 22:35 into the video.

I think waiting to see if someone will sell for a more reasonable price could work out, but it could go up. Hmmm

i personally think the E3 is more rare than the geofry
simply because ive seen more than 1 auction for it
hello mac is the same category as the geofry i assume since the owner of the hello mac actually sold
more than 1 and he found them ina retro video game store in japan

that E3 is controller its implossible to find
and i bet offers are high since collectors are looking for it
1g+ i bet

Actually quagga the brand new one struggled to hit $1000 so I think your value is off.

As far as rarity I can't speculate because I dont look for anything japanese, but I have seen 5 e3 controllers for sale in a year and that is a pretty high number I think.

How are so many people looking for one and that E3 only sold for $900. I don't even want one and offered $800 on it. I guess everyone else just doesn't care about condition? $900 for one in that condition is the steal of the century if a beat one can legitimately sell for $1k. The longer you collect the more you realize that condition is EVERYTHING.

If so many people are actively looking for it, then you've got to put money where your mouth is. People will kick themselves for missing that one for a long time, months or even years. Unless of course you don't care about condition at all, then yeah maybe you can win cheaper at auction. But I have a feeling that the wait for an auction will be quite a long time...

Well said and I couldn't agree more. I legitimately thought about buying this one but after sleeping on it, I going to put the $1k towards something else that will benefit my collection instead of hoarding another E3 controller. I've already managed to let go of my second E3 for a very good price so I will just happily look at the one I still have.

& What about that :pottymouth:? if i didnt get it with $900 what member did?

Looks Like im also still in the hunt for an E3 controller.

Well you've just earned a second warning for that derogatory term :yeah:

The post was locked as the item was sold. You could have quite easily pm'd the seller with questions during and after the sale was made.

Please can I remind everyone that their is a dedicated post for this kind of chit chat:

Not to mention a whole "Collecting" section.

ItsOnlyAFlashWound: Let's get something straight, Clarky acted on behalf of this staff. That topic had been discussed a good deal by the staff, and it was our decision to close that topic. The topic was closed closed only after the sale was complete. Guggles stated he wasn't for sure giving the :pottymouth: away to the 2nd place bidder. If you are curious about it, PM him. This isn't the the place for comments like you just made about Clarky. If you or anybody else has a problem with the staff, there are better ways of handling it than what you just did (PM me for instance) . Publicly insulting other members, or in this case a staff member, WILL NOT be tolerated.

Per the forum rules :read:
"Rudeness to other members will not be tolerated"

Normally I handle things like this privately in a PM, but you want to attack him in public. So instead I will do it here. Consider this a very serious public warning. Other members have continued down the same path you are on right now. They aren't here anymore, and you can probably guess why.

Warnings noted.

I can't bloody win. you both tell me i should have pm'd the guy but it was the pm system that was down (not working!) remember??? and thats why you told him to take the bidding side of it to email. So i log on, see that i was the top bidder, find out its not over when its meant to be & someone else has "apparently made an offer over $1000 & walked off with the bloody controller and i get no chance to respond. cant pm him, no reply to my email and forum thread locked? now once again redirecting us to another part of the forum when all i wanted was to post a simple comment in the original thread! My original comment in "this" thread is about wanting to buy an E3 controller so im in the right spot yeah?

May i also add. yes some conversations develop in certain threads & yes they do go alittle off topic at times but generally then move back to the rails. do we have to :pottymouth: down every little thing that goes astray or can we let natural conversations continue? how many threads have actually been started after a mod/admin have asked to move it to another part of the forum? guessing not many as most are just chit chat filling in blank time between topic comments and not worth a whole thread over. soon it will be yes/no answers only.

Im not in any means having a direct go at mods/admins just feel like its a little over the top sometimes. I was out of line with clarky and i do apologize to him.
