Sorry, I was out of town for work and just couldn't get on to answer this sooner. I left Main Line for a few reasons, 1) my husband almost strangled Dr. Orris. Not really but his name is a rather ugly curse word in our house! He was just fast talking and rude to us for a few months. Flippant at times. 2) I was just going "down the line" so to speak as far as location. I was on these boards back in 2006 so I knew Dr. Check was sort of local but not really. I went to Penn Radnor on a recommendation and I love love love Drs. Gracia and Pfeiffer. The challenge is/was Dr. Gracia is really into her research now and only at the Radnor on Tues (or she was last year). Dr. Pfeiffer is around more often but the wait to be her patient can be a long wait - a few months. My experience in 2007 was very good - I was also 4 years younger than now. When I went in last Sept for a follicle check, one of the newer doctors was really unfriendly - pretty much asked me why was I there with ovaries like that? I have not gone back since. I have also read/heard that abington has a satellite office at Paoli hospital - probably same building. I know of someone who had success there. I think Penn is great - they just have their "protocals" as they are a teaching hospital. I donated there in my daughter's name when she was born.

Hope this is somewhat helpful. Best of Luck to you!!

Ps do you go to a local acu by any chance. I love my acu downtown but it is always so hard to get there!

Thanks so much. I'm struggling to complete my final ivf - can't get to ER. I need to finish it this year for emotional and financial reasons, so I really appreciate hearing your experience.

I was doing acupuncture downtown until last year. I have a feeling we are likely talking about the same guy. He was great, but the time and money to go was starting to get to me.

Good luck to you:)

Hi ladies -

Just wanted to chime in on the acupuncture part of this thread (alhough the RE information has also been extremely valuable for me. I'm currently w/Check, but I always want to hear about other good places).

I had been going to an acupuncturist in downtown in Old City - really liked him, and may go back, but is does get expensive. I have heard really good things about community acucpuncture in west philly, which might be a little closer if you're a main liner, and I know thet're more affordable. The only catch is they don't use private rooms, although I do think there are shades and curtains.

Just wanted to pass that along!

Thanks ladies - I went/go to Gurneet Singh who used to practice at Triune (now closed) but now practices at knead body in olde city. She's great - I went twice a month prior to my pregnancy and I do think it was helpful. She's just a nice, genuine person overall as well. She only has appt on tues/thurs/sat.

I was looking for any recommendations in the mainline area if you have any!

Also I saw Penny at Eviama for a mayan massage (uterus) the month prior to pg. I've been back since for some fine tuning - no pg yet but she was great as well. She's a few blocks from Rittenhouse.
