Thankfully, not all malls pull something this dirty off. Eaton Centre, and Aventura Mall still have really awesome unique things. Then again, those are the malls that are the least likely to go away. Maybe not even die at all.

Heres a video proving that.

A cool idea to make up for this disappointment is to add a Bass Pro shops within the second half of the mall. I know it may sound a bit ridiculous, but every Bass Pro shops seem to attract alot of people, especially with all the waterfall features and aquariums. Theu can even do something creative with adding a glass elevator.

And they can adapt to existing buildings the Hookset Bass Pro Shops in NH is a former Lows

I think one of the smartest things at THE Mall of NH was adding the best buy. THE target at the Pheasant lane not so much. but at least its a stable company at the moment.

It warms my heart to know that there are a few people out there who film a mall fountain knowing that it will be going away.

Great article. I'm happy to hear they are renovating. It also seems they are aware of the challenges and are willing to face them head on.

This video was from the end of its life as a mall. I can tell from the kiosks and the fact Burlington was there. Bradlees closing was the nail in the coffin for this as a mall.

The mall was not torn down. It was gutted and turning into a strip mall. In fact some of the smaller stores in the mall still exist along the back of the building. but the new Nashua mall, now a strip mall simply re walled and faced the building adding Christmas tree shop, LLbean outlet, Baby's R us and bradlees became kholes.

The same thing was done at the Bedford mall a few years back.

While at the Mall of NH 2 days ago I Saw a few other places closing.
  • Teavona was closed and they were breaking down the store. I will miss their free samples.
  • Brookstone is closing and most of their items were already sold. Not too surprised while a fun store to look at it was always overpriced tech. now where will I get free massages.
  • Gymboree is also Closing. The store sells overpriced baby item not unlike Babie's R us. but generaly better qulity.
on a positive note the food court has 2 more opened fronts.
a crape location which also offered some ice cream.
Stewart's All American Grill - This looks yummy!
The food lotion offers Prime burgers and Sandwiches. It's got old time Diner options like Franks, Pulled pork, chicken, BBQ, and more. Topping of these options is Stewart's Ice Cream and their namesake Soda. They also offer Pipsi products. For you park fans they also offer fried Twinkies.

I was surprised to see so many sores closing all at once. Not that I ever really shopped at them. Most of the stores aren't even all that interesting and the Many aren't very well set up and are hard fro me to get around. This leaves me more inclined to have friends and family shop for me and often online.

It's a hard time for malls and stores in them. Nearly everything in Brookstone could be bought cheaper at another store. People don't seem to be all that interested in having bulky expensive message chairs and at those rates you can pay for a lot of messages at one of the many message chains.

One day there should be a replica of a vintage mall, and have people pay admission to go in. Much like a visit to a museum. It would be as if the mall itself is the main attraction as oppose to the stores.

Does this look familiar?

I'd say so. Now a days if a Security guard said racial background he'd be fired not put on TV. Funny to see so many people smocking in the building. Love all the fountains. and my heart jumped when I saw Montgomery Ward. Also got a big smile when I saw the arcade.

I heard a ward Aberration so I looked it up
Aberration definition, the act of departing from the right, normal, or usual course

I agree with the statement that there si a lack of Community. but one thing was the idea they could neglect the ascetics as long as it was safe. That seems to be something malls have been fighting to correct and is a bit downfall of malls.
