This topic is a place to discuss and show off Landscaping, Gardens and of course Fountains. Places that take the time and effort to to more then just plant grass. From city parks to Botanical Gardens. Have fun and share.

Kicking off this topic
Heres a tour of a place every fountain lover, or garden lover, must visit at least once in your lifetime.

I actually perfur that place over Six Flag’s Great Adventure. And I am not saying that because I hate Six Flags, but because I really do like it that much. I also perfur it over Dorney Park(and maybe even Kings Dominion).

There fountain collection is a huge bonus, and the renovated main fountain garden I would dare say is the greatest fountain ever made.

I could see that. I wish more parks put that much focus on landscaping and fountains.

Very nice fountain. there is a lot of love there.

LOL, The song at the end is an older version of a song by Yanni. It's one of his songs used in the fountain at EPCOT.

The fountain and fountain show at Epcot isnt quite as good as the one in the video, and the fountain feature as a whole isnt nearly as good as the Main Fountain garden that was in the video.

Here is one of their illuminated fountain shows:

While it didn’t have fireworks when I saw it from this past September, it did play the planet suites from Gustav Holst(although it does play one of them in the video).

I can tell by the video that this was a bigger fountain then EPCOT. It also has all those smaller fountains that are part of the show.

The song at the end was simple used for the slide show. I was making the connection.

I think this is becoming quite the topic I think I'll split this into it's own topic.

Few know that Busch Gardens got its start as Botanical Gardens and hospitality centers are the companies breweries. While Williamsburg and Tampa grew into big park s other location never developed past a couple attraction wound were closed before the end of the 80's.

here is a video of the LA Bush Gardens.

I had no idea it use to be a garden place. That explains how it gets the award for best landscaping at an amusement park.

Not totally into gardens, but I do like some aspects of it. There is one garden that I really like though, and that is Longwood Gardens(the place where I have posted videos of from earlier). I may revisit there for their fireworks show.

This video should inspire people to give this place a try.

I didn't realize this place is in Pennsylvania
https://longwoodgardens.org

Sounds like they put a lot of love into this place. Wiki has this place in development since the early 1700's with a more traditional visitor setup since ht mid 1800's. it's over 1,000 acres with 20 greenhouses.

Impressive!

The guy who created Longwood Gardens, Piere du pont, was a huge fountain fan. Infact he had seen an indoor fountain display when he was a kid, and immediately became a fan. Just like how I became a fan when I first saw that big fountain the Burlington Mall use to have.

Nothing wrong with that. fountains can add so much character to a location.

One of my favorite things at Greeley Park is the fountain. though I wish the old one in the bathrooms building still worked. Also the fountain was rebuilt and is a bit more modern and has fewer jets but still there.
early 1900's post card.

And lets not for get The large fountain setup in the Nashua river at the north end of main street. visible from the Franco American park.

I'll post a photo of the Nashua library fountain soon.

I have heard of that fountain before. That park reminds me of what Canobie would have looked like way back in the early 20th century.

There use to be a bikeshop at that bridge near that fountain when I was a kid, and I would stare at the top of the fountain whenever it was in view.

Wow, didn’t even know about that fountain. Last summer I took a couple pictures and a short video of a fountain in Nashua at a business park near exit 8.

It's in the small water way by Crown plaza. I think there is also a small fountain about half way down main street It could just be a stone planter but I saw it being built last summer.

Not a Fountain per say but they built a new park on Ledge street a few years back on a plot of land where a building burned down. there is a splash pad for families to use in the park.

I know of that fountain too. But there is actually another fountain in that area located on that courtyard between DCS corporation and Eastern Bank.

It is a showerhead fountain with the center nozzle shooting higher than the others.

Not exactly sure about a fountain down at that part of Nashua, but there is a small fountain located over at that green area in Hudson NH just after you cross the bridge over Merrimack River.

OK didn't know about that one.I am in that area all the time but have never walked around hat courtyard in that area.

When it gets warmer I'll have to take a day and track some of these down. Get more photos.

Nice. Though I am spoiled from Longwoods illuminated fountain show to be jawdropped impressed by that.

Not exactly a fountain show, but it has fountains in it.
