For those contacting me about problems on Network54

If I could solve your problem(s), I would. I do not have the power, or the access, to fix some of the problems people are contacting me about.

I can't unblock your IP address
I can't help you post if you are trying to post on a private forum
I can't tell you why you aren't being approved to join a private forum
I can't activate your account
I can't verify your email address
I can't contact the forum owner for you unless they list their contact information somewhere
I can't tell you why your IP address was blocked (most likely, it was someone else being blocked and you're just unlucky to have a similar IP address)
I can't fix bad code on your forum, but I can try to help you fix it
I'm sure there are other things I've been asked to fix that I can't

I can help with some stuff, but not anything that requires me to "open the hood" and get my hands dirty. Trust me, if I had the access, I would certainly try.

Please remember, I do this in my (hahahahaha) spare time and for free, so try to be nice, even when you're ready to pull your hair out.

Your signature code (if any) will render if you post it in another "normal" NW54 forum.
And there, try it as much as you want clickin' the "Preview" then "Edit" buttons. The "go back" built-in function won't do it in Chrome browser, but it works in Firefox.

Every time you do any post from here - or edit your own posts outside - it is needed to "fix" your code again.

I just read the ilst of things you can't do and I respect that.

Paying customers are asking for the Search feature to be restored Network-wide (on ALL Network54 forums).

I understand you do this on your spare time.

Would you kindly relay our multiple request(s) to someone who is on the payroll at Network54, so those of us who are asking people to help us with costs through advertising can bump up our readership (and usefulness as a forum) to where it was before?

The search feature is essential.

Without the Search Feature hundreds of thousands, probably millions, of important bits of intellectual property people volunteer to share on the forums is not accessible.

I have relied on the Search Feature since 2005 on my own forum.

I have been a member of other Network54 forums prior to that.

Right now my forum is promoting a feature I can't deliver, so if I accept advertising dollars I am essentially doing so by promoting something I can not deliver.

Attention to this, and a response to the members who asked about it in the Premier Administrators group would be greatly appreciated.

Well said. We depend on the search feature also. That it hasn't been addressed by someone in charge is baffling. I've been paying this outfit monthly for 15 years. I think an explanation is the least I have coming.
