Jason's post of his T210 on the most recent pickup thread prompted me to think of cards with poses that are truly strange. Here's my "Most Odd". Let's see yours.

What's Bridwell supposed to be doing in this pose?

Always liked the Buchner's "air guitar" pose that they have for a few players

Actually, Billy Martin not only did it on purpose, he did it to get back at Topps. The story is that the Topps photographer had been bothering Martin at practice all day and when it came time for his pictures, he simply extended his middle finger down the bat he was leaning on to let Topps know how he felt.

Not pre-war, but one of my favorite cards of all time.

"He runs like a sissy"

For some reason this had me laughing like a half-wit. Well done, Steve.

but I can't lay claim to it's discovery. I think it was Joe D. who first posted it. I could be mistaken.

What, exactly, is on Lou Chiozza's mind here?

And how did Jimmy Foxx ever throw out anybody at second with what appears to be a knuckleball?

Before Billy Martin pointed his middle finger down the bat there was (I think) Hoss Radburn doing the bird on an OJ!
