detail is not that bad for being over 100 years old, great short film of early baseball

Kind of off topic, but some of you collect boxing cards. This is part of the 1897 fight bewtween Jim Cotbett and Bob Fitzimmons. I thought this was old, but the earliest surviving footage in general is from 1888. Just think, old judge cards were new back then !

Does anyone know where Edison filmed that? The second runner in the film has "Newark" on his uniform. Given that Edison's lab complex was in West Orange, I will guess that it was filmed around Essex County, NJ. Any clues as to league?
