Jasper no longer had any money, but he seriously didn’t give a hoot. After all, the point of an allowance was to spend it, not to hoard it forever! There wasn’t any joy in money, only in what it could buy. Like sweets! Usually a very large portion of Jasper’s allowance ended up being spent at Sweet Tooth down in the village, purchasing piles of sweets and chocolates for himself and his pack of Lost Boys (and some Lost Girls, too). This term, though, he was going to have to make do with a lot less – but it was totally worth it. What he had bought instead far surpassed the momentary thrill of a sugar rush.

The perfect place to try out his haul was in the jousting arena. Jasper didn’t usually have a legitimate reason to be here, not having a prince as his spirit (for the record, he had something WAY BETTER than a measly old prince). Today was different, though: today, he had light sabre swords. Okay, so they were made of plastic, but they lit up and made the right humming noises when they were swung – and that was good enough for him! He was so excited to try them out, he hadn’t stopped to invite a specific person or even a specific group of people to come down to the arena with him. He’d called every junior he could find on his floor, and invited everyone he’d found on the way there and the way down to the arena. The only reason why he’d even gone back to his room had been to drop his bag and everything he didn’t need in his room.

Setting his bag of light sabres down on the grass, Jasper spun around in the air, stretching out his arms and legs in sheer delight. Raising his hands above his head, he soared upward through the air, seeing several of his friends coming down to the jousting arena from the school. Tucking his thumbs under his armpits, he tilted his head back and let out a mighty rooster-crow. Laughing to himself, he spun around and then cupped his hands around his mouth, letting out another of his signature crows, calling everyone within hearing distance to join him in playing with his new toys.

Ah yes. A lovely day for just doing whatever. The weather wasn't bad, but there was a certain little sophomore who just wasn't sure what to do with her day. She had read mot of the morning, curled up in her bed totally sucked into the world of her newest book series. But the book she was currently on only had so many pages. Of course it was full of excitement and romance and drama, but many of the best ones were this way. Araceli sighed in disappointment when it ended in a cliffhanger, but she really didn't feel like going tot he library to get the next couple books in the series. It was really quite bothersome to say the least. Because now what was she to do?

After a while of lounging in her bed, the little brunette jumped up and ran a brush through her currently messy brown hair, smoothing it back down and she scampered out of her dorm room, figuring she could just wander around the halls and the campus until she found something to do, or she got an idea. Whatever came first. But it was agonizingly boring today. Seriously no one seemed to be doing anything that was worth joining in on. So Ara sighed and headed out on the grounds planning on just having an adventure in the forests seeing what trouble she could potentially find there. That was until a sound caught her attention.

A rooster crow. Not from an actual rooster, but she knew what, or rather who, made that sound and what it meant. The Peter Pan spirit was up to something, and the Anastasia reincarnate was going to investigate. Besides, Jasper did all sorts of fun things and she figured this would be no different. She headed in the direction of the crow and she smiled when she reached the jousting arena only to find a number of students already there fighting with lightsabers. Oh yeah, this would be fun. "Hey Jasper!" she called out when she caught sight of the red head. "Got a saber to spare?"

Things were developing very nicely indeed if he said so himself. The lure of light sabre swords was too great for anyone with half an imagination or sense of fun to resist! It made the redhead happy to see all of his friends dueling with the toys he'd bought. What was the point of having anything if you didn't share it with other people? Yes, sometimes Jasper could be a little cagey with his things, not wanting just anyone to play with his stuff, and especially not if he wasn't playing with them, but by and large his generous heart far outweighed any of his childish selfishness. The best kind of fun was always had with other people.

"Hey Jasper! Got a saber to spare?"

He turned to see his good friend Araceli approaching him, and the grin on his face widened. "Of course!" he called, scooping up one of the plastic sabres by his feet and holding it out to her, handle first. Obviously, because these were just toys, there was no danger in holding the light part of the light sabre, but what fun was there in breaking the game? The whole point was to make believe that they were real light sabres and that they were all rebels fighting for the freedom of the galaxy... or maybe just space pirates! Jasper picked up his own sabre and turned it on, gratified by the authentic noise it made. Everything was so much better when things made the right sounds. That was just a fact!

"All right, Ara - en guarde!" he grinned and took what he thought passed for a cool sword-fighting pose. His sword-fighting teacher may not have approved of its flamboyance, but if it didn't look cool then Jasper wasn't all that interested. Besides, Peter fought with a dagger usually, not a sword. So it didn't really matter that much. Jasper did pretty well in his sword-fighting class, because it was fun and he got to move about and hit people, so the teacher was actually able to get his attention long enough to actually teach him things. He didn't care about all of the stuffy theory right now though. All he wanted to do now was have fun!

'Of course!'

Ara grinned at that and she reached out to carefully take the blade's handle. "Thanks!" she giggled softly. She pulled the lightsaber up to inspect it, feeling the weight of it in her hand and then she nodded in satisfaction. She smiled and moved her thumb over to the power button and reveled in the noise it made as it lit up blue. Perfect. She took a step back from Jasper so she wasn't too close and then she twirled her weapon in her hand, listening quite happily to the sound effects. Jasper had out done himself this time. He easily could have bought the cheaper kind that didn't light up or make any noises, but this was way cooler. Though really could she expect anything less from him? He was pretty much the king of mischief and fun of this sort.

'All right, Ara - en guarde!'

Ara looked over at Jasper and his fancy, albeit perhaps not the most accurate, fighting stance. Her grey eyes narrowed as her lips quirked into a playful smirk, her hand moving to twirl the blade again before her right foot went back a half step angling her body. her arms came up in front of her, her free hand going to the hilt of her lightsaber as she held it in front of her in her own not as fancy fighting stance. "En garde," she replied watching him quietly for a moment. She was ready for this, so let the fun begin.

With no warning, the little brunette stepped forward, swinging the blade with her aiming a blow to Jasper's ribs, not hard of course, since her didn't want to hurt him, just hard enough for him to feel the blow if it landed and he didn't block. She didn't stop there either and she swung her blade high to the other side going for a shoulder. There wasn't time for one shot or one swing then let the other person go. So she moved in for any sort of hit she thought she could make, regardless of if she might be blocked, and then moving her weapon to try and deflect all the incoming blows Jasper threw her way. That was her mind set. That's how she played swords. Otherwise it was boring and no fun at all!
((yay a post! so sorry it took so long and hope the fighting was good enough i was trying to figure out how to make it more than one move at a time without making it sort of bland so i hope it worked ^.^))
