This thread partially replaces the "Morrissey References in Print, Art, Music, Hairdo`s etc. Random media finds" which readers felt had too broad a scope. Post articles and interviews here.

(For Morrissey references in art, music and other cultural gestures, please go to: http://allyouneedismorrissey.com/topic/4868393/1/

You can still look at the old References thread here: http://allyouneedismorrissey.com/topic/3814599/74/#new

There is a new piece (including an interview ) and a very nice article about Morrisey in a portuguese newspaper. In fact he graces the cover of their cultural weekend supplement.

I don't have time right now but I promiss I will try to translate it soon

The article is called "The Genius that killed Pop?" and talks about the mystery that morrissey still remains which also makes him the last living icon. Also analysis contradictions and controversies of his fascinating personality and work. There is also a part about the fans called "Morrissey's Religion" :thumbs

The interview is included in a big piece about him, his influences, his importance in music, how he remains true to himself and asks what would happen to us if Morrissey ever grew up, because well, he need him to remain...morrissey :)

Nice stuff

“Despite the fact that they're incredibly intelligent, animals unfortunately haven't yet worked out how to slip on a rubber, which is why thousands of them are being put to sleep in overcrowded shelters and thousands more are desperately waiting to be adopted.” In typically outspoken fashion the Meat is Murder star adds: "Letting cats or dogs have litters is tantamount to shooting shelter animals in the head since it kills their chances of adoption. Please do the right thing and spay or neuter your animals."

Interesting that they are giving away The Smiths Box set though.... since Morrissey has claimed not to have listened to it? :ermm:

Love this!
The sentiment and message, most of all, but also the iconic (or soon to be) photo, and the classic Morrissey-ism about the "rubber"! :P
