Ok, I know it has been discussed before, but what gives? Can you imagine the revenue it would generate? Want the students to stay for the whole 4 quarters? Here's your answer. Want to cut down on binge drinking? Give folks a reason to not get tanked before they leave the grove. I know that Arkansas sells beer in its premium sections already. We need to be the first to come out with general admission beer sales. Petition anyone?

Needs to happen.  I'll be amazed if it ever does and if it does you can bet your ass OM will be a minimum of 5 years late to party on it.

Wonder if anything has changed since this:

What is nice is that they of course let rich people have it. But the regular poors can't be trusted with it.

It wouldn't matter if the SEC allowed it. The State of Mississippi won't, because it's on campus.

I'd rather we didn't.  Over half the stadium would spend most of the game waiting in line for beer.

Pretty much spot on.  Back in the 80's Budweiser offered to pay the cost of building the Student Union if they would put in a bar and allow beer sales.  The Betty Baptist Convention that runs the State Government wouldn't allow it.  Of course back then, we could take a backpack into the stadium with ice and a half gallon of vodka without issue.  Yes, it happened.

We don't have the necessary restroom facilities to accommodate beer drinking.  Its hard enough getting in and out of the bathroom now.  Imagine if people were chugging beers right and left.
