What are you doing these days to stay busy? When all else fails, there's always a wee drop of wet in the house!

I literally stumbled onto a fine Polish Cherry Cordial at my local liquor store recently. It's called Wisniowka. It kicks like Seagram Seven Crown and is 80 proof, but goes well with wot'ever you mix it with. Tonite, I'm mixing it with traditional, original recipe Pepsi. It is definitely the gal that I'm goin' home with.

This past week has been the first one all Summer that it hasn't rained a single day hereabouts !

I hardly knew what to make of it.

There were the last of the blight-blasted tomato plants to chop down and bag up, though, and I groomed up the picked clean beet patch to try sneaking in a Fall crop of spinach. I tried planting some earlier this year, but something funky happened to it and it sure didn't end up looking like leafy greens.

Been looking around on line for a new line O' work also... ...Just found out I missed out on becoming a boiler operator at the local VA hospital. Probably somebody's buddy had that sweet, steamy civil service gig all locked up before they even posted it on the federal jobs web site !
LoL

Shee-it... ...I got "Wodka" lurking in the cupboard... ...think I'll pour a stiff nip and listen to a tune or 2...

from her bookstore job of seven years. She hasn't gotten the boot yet, but she might just as well have. Her boss told all of the other workers not to cash their paychecks for several days, because they won't be covered at the bank until then. I told her just to sign her paycheck and take the money out of the bookstore till and let the boss sort it all out. Filthy bitch! The bookstore boss, not the wife, although... lol

either for the local school systems or the county buses, driving all of the oldsters around to their doctor's appointments and etc, but to no avail. With my bum knee, thanks to some brake fluid spilled on the floor of the garage at Ford Motor, I can't stay up on my pins for more than a couple of hours without it swelling up like a huge, blood engorged leech. No worries though. Hope springs eternal and happiness is inevitable, thanks to a dim bulb, Limey, ex-para who used to be on this site.

Don't forget to keep your beet top leaves to add to your borscht. Really adds alot of flavor!

Boiler work is a sweet gig. When I was at Ford Motor, the boiler geeks there used to spend the majority of their shift either sleeping, watching porno movies or sports events, depending on the day of the week. You can't get much better than that. If yer' interested, I could tell you some other weird tales.

It's just that old Rooshian tank engine starter fluid Stolichnaya - but it'll get the job done.
