A friend from Lyndora had double bypass Thursday. No word yet on how he came through. I called the hospital yesterday and there was no answer in his room.

Just a few months older than me and the CB!

And you, a healthy heart... so you don't have to go through surgery.

It seems like a lot of people have the less invasive stents these days,
instead of so many open heart surgery procedures. Yikes either way.

At first it was supposed to be a angioplasty (sp?) but when the doc looked further they wheeled him in for the biggie!

He is up and about though still in ICU as per SOP so it looks good!

He had difficulty breathing on Saturday and the docs had to give him a "jolt." He was to be released from ICU yesterday, but that didn't happen.

That isn't sounding good.
Best wishes on his speedy recovery from this setback as well as the rest.
Is he close enough that you can visit, if they even allow visitors besides
family, at this stage?

ICU is family only. Butler is still the same distance. If I could do it for mom I can do it for a friend if needed.

Also on the alert for a trip for brother-in-law David's dad.
