Couldn't find a seperate thread on this Italian Scifi only reviewed by Dave on old Fantastic Movie Musings blog. I had seen the American version years ago but didnt remember much. This time out I watched the Italian dubbed version which ran 85 min. vs 72 min for the other. Well let me be the first to say the extra 13 minutes were not worth it and most of the actors were speaking English so the dubbing made it worse. Lousy effects and miniatures for Marghereti's first feature. Lots of talk too but we do get a kinda of Lost Missile plot at the end where they have to destroy a runaway ship that annihilates everything within 5000 miles and it's heading for an Earth orbit at 3500 miles. They discover there is a corridor that can penetrate the field but missiles can't reach it before blowing up. One crew member takes a ship into the corridor and almost makes it before disintegrating, next our reporter on board decides his turn to do something besides woo the only female crewmember and he takes the small space taxi in  and by throwing things to the right and left he detects and maneuvers thru the corridor and onto the ship. He is able to disconnect the cables and be rescued before he runs out of air and the rescue ship burns up in Earth's atmosphere, Hurray. Not good.

funny because that scene is not in the Italian version, must have been added for the US release. There is no explosion shown when ship crashes

I noticed that when looking for the right clips on YouTube.  But of course, the version without the hinky explosion isn't any fun!
