In anticipation of the upcoming Marie Devereux interview, I've been on a kick of late, checking out her lesser-known film appearances.  I wasn't aware she was in HAUNTED STRANGLER (uncredited) until recently seeing an IMDb entry for it, so I re-watched the film a couple days ago to see if I could spot her.  I put up what I found in post#80 of the HAUNTED STRANGLER thread.

Also, here's an old post at Latarnia Forums about her uncredited appearance in WOMANEATER:  Marie again!
(WARNING:  the Latarnia thread has pics that are NOT work friendly!)

One of the  major features of the upcoming issue is Denis Meikle's
HAMMER: GENESIS - how it all began at Hammer with an in-depth
look at the early Hammer, Exclusive distributors and,  mainly, the
Carreras and Hinds families. Incredible information never seen before.

And to think that years ago you were considering ending the magazine because you thought you had said everything there was to say about Hammer!  Hah!  You can go on for decades, at this rate!

we've had major, lengthy,  features on NIGHT OF THE DEMON in two
issues of LSoH. #18 by Paul Welsh, and #21 by Denis Meikle.

Now that I have an excellent region free Blu-ray of NEVER TAKE SWEETS FROM A STRANGER, from England and loaded with fine special features, I am especially looking forward to the new issue.

Any chance of doing something on the Dan Curtis/Jack Palance JEKYLL AND HYDE? How about Hammer's CASH ON DEMAND, in which the always excellent Peter Cushing was even MORE excellent than usual?

As we here in Delaware are about to get buried in snow, I'm really, REALLY looking forward to May!  I'm very interested in reading Marie's interview as she (along with Valerie Gaunt) seemed to shy away from speaking in detail about the films they did for Hammer.  It'll be great to hear her persepectives and experiences at the studio.

I know Tim Greaves has done some lengthy and very detailed coverage of Vampyres, but as most of the film was shot in and arount Oakley Court, it has a Hammer tie-in that could be of interest to LoSH readers.

keeps screwing up. I'm going to resend the order tomorrow.Let me know if the first
order ever shows up.

No need to do that just yet, Dick.  I recently ordered a board game that crossed the country twice with USPS for some reason before arriving.  I'm in no hurry...but looking forward to them.  I'll e-mail you in a week or so if they haven't arrived.

And eagerly awaiting LSoH, of course.  Looking forward to when we can all order it.  Really looking forward to the Hammer Genesis article.

And Kudos again on the Rondo.

alas,at the last moment, the Marie Devereux interview fell through. But
we are still going to run the great artwork and photos from the films. Maybe
someday on the interview?

Great pic of Marie in the first issue of the Fabulous Fifties too.  Just starting to go through these, and they're a lot of fun and look great.
