Did the 2A6m Leopards ever have the heavy U.S. style tow bars mounted in the rear? I thought I might have saw them in a pic. It may have been a Dutch Leopard.

Some Canadian 2A6Ms do carry the tow bars on the hull rear....but they look to be just attached with straps...not the welded brackets like on the Danish 2A5s.

Are the tow bars, single or double bars.If they are double, them they are A-Frames.I was lucky to put one only once on my Panzer, nothing more hard to deal with as a commander being hauled away by the ARV in the desert with your gun in the cruch backdecked, kicker was that it wasn't my Panzer.

Its an aframe style like the ones on the Abrams. Its not a big deal I just want my model to look a little different. Antony do you know if you have pics of these?

Here's one from the Great Field Trip of 2006 in Edmonton, however I can't say if it would be the same type used in A'stan. One would assume so, but you never know.

The one I saw on the back of a 2A6M is the same type...attached with two straps on either end on the slat armour...it hung low on the rear hull slat armour.
