Saw this over at PMMS, Takom has a C2 Mexas in plastic due out in January.
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/n ... takom.html

Really glad I haven't ordered any of the resin conversions, as Takom seems to be reasonably priced and quite accurate. Hopefully its around 50 like some of their other kits.

Features
-Movable road wheels and suspension
-Cement free workable track
-1/35 Afghani figure included
-4 types of markings
-PE and clear parts

I can't wait to see sprue shots.

..but I'll wait before ordering...see what the Experten say.
Very cool though, who knew Canuck armour would be fashionable...

Okay,... head between legs,...breath calmly,....

Now that I've recovered somewhat, it's time to sit quietly a while and contemplate the beauty of life.

Hmmmm,... I wonder if it'll be engineered in a way to make a non-Mexas Leopard C2 a straight-forward conversion? Regardless, this is glorious news! My Takom St. Chamond just arrived and it's an excellent kit. What the heck is Orochi tracks?

Thrilled and Stunned,
Roy

Orochi are a subsidiary of Takom who have just announced some Japanese Type 10 tracks and Leopard 1 tracks!

Just found this:http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op= ... ad&order=0

I suppose we should have seen this coming. Let's hope it is better than the Meng kit.

I get the impression you didn't know about this kit. The tracks do look naff and I hope this doesn't bode ill for the whole kit. I wonder if the lower hull and running gear the tracks are on in the review are from this new kit?

Cheers,
Roy

The kit looks like the MENG Leo 1A3/A4 hull based on the road wheels.

The tracks are fitted to a Meng kit on the Armorama page, but that doesn't mean the Takom kit is Meng-based. I certainly hope not!!!!

At the moment we have Meng with a none too accurate Leopard and now Orochi with none too accurate tracks. What is the matter with these people?

No - I didn't have a clue about this.

You will be glad to know that Orochi have listened to the concerns about their Leo 1 tracks which they say they are re-engineering!
