Seen this one for the first time at Mount Pleasant on Friday, belted up to a Case



and I shared the veneer mill from LeSueur last year, but got a better video this year showing the entire process 



and an oops moment at the end of this one...

These are the only two working ones I have seen. I know there is one in pieces in Forest City, Iowa

I was thinking it would be neat to make a scale model of it and use potatoes as the log. Maybe line up a few razor blades as the cutter and have it hooked up to very slowly feed the cutting edge in closer as it turns. Kind of like an apple peeler but the whole thing at once...

Very cool Nick. 

A fascinating process. I have visited several modern plywood peeling operations. Amazing how fast they can peel a log these days. 

Thanks for the great videos. I really enjoyed all of then.
