I've tried to find some of the rarer engines over the last four years, some get through my fingers but I do try :D  :D

One engine I had been searching for was this Carrette steam turbine from 1911. I had only ever seen a drawing of this engine in Bob Gordons book 'Toy Steam Engines' so I was very pleased when this boxed example came up :D

A general view of the collection with Marklin vertical with centre flue and six inch flywheel on the left, Bing poppet valve with water heater on the chimney, centre and my famous Bing which appeared on the antiques roadshow.
