Also there is an inner axle pipe, does that prevent separation of the two halves?

Or if that is too much hassle, how do I remove the peels from the inside? Although I suspect spray paint wouldn't reach the inside...
Mine seem to have come out unbent, but I don't know how well they'd survive being reinserted. And yes, the two halves are held together by the pipe. I'd repaint them in situ, but I use brushes rather than spray.

Jim,
Thanks for the advice. Frankly, I prefer brushing as it better fume wise and I don't want to buy new wheels. I have cans of enamel paint for metal that I could use.

Thanks
