The only issue I've experienced is blowing of the in-line fuse. Happens when switching on from start or from going from forward to reverse. Have suggested to Mamod they either fit a slow-blow variety of fuse or fit a 5 amp fuse (like Roundhouse do with their Little John). With a 12 volt power supply you're going to get a peak of current when the motor starts and 2.5amps is on the low side.ferrysteam wrote: Well my Boulton came today and I must say I'm very pleased with what I received....
Mamod have a redesigned method to remove the body, its basically a spring loaded button. It will be introduced with the next batch of bodies.ferrysteam wrote: The only thing I don't like is that fiddly screw to remove the body. I think a thread into the body and a knurled bolt to screw into it from underneath would be less fiddly, apart from that I love it and I'm pleased to add it to my collection. I'll see what it can pull tomorrow.

I think Mamod have hit a niche in the market with the Boulton diesel. It is a very good quality product that will be very difficult to match at this price and a good start into garden railways.mikewakefielduk wrote:Just enter it here as Mamod monitor this thread.ferrysteam wrote:How do we leave feedback?Mamod wrote: Don't forget your feedback is most welcome
