I have a surplus piston and cylinder that looks identical to that. It is an older one piece machined cylinder and a fish eye piston. Some of the older ones had some strange size variations. If you have a vernier gauge you could send me a PM of the critical dimensions for both the piston and cylinder, esp the port hole position, that you are seeking and I will check if mine is of any use to you.

James, you really do need to specify which critical dimensions IMG_5062.JPG IMG_5061.JPG you need. Have a look at modelenthusiasts.com website, Trevor has a handy Mamod piston sizes chart (botttom of his website, Help, Piston Sizes) You will see there is a wide variety of piston sets, not just one. If yours is a fish eye end it is an older variety, like a lot of my collection, and they are often not compatible. The spare one that ive offered to donate to you is pictured below. However there is not much point me giving it to you if it wont fit. You need to measure from the crank pin to the end of the piston too. Where are you located? I am in UK
Cheers
S.

For further info, my spare fits perfectly into this original SE1, but it is an earlier model at the change over period from flat base models, does yours look similar? IMG_5063.JPG

James, the piston and cylinder are a donation to you, free, gratis, zilch, they are just gathering dust here and of no use or value to me, but only a gft to you if they are precisely the size that you need - if they are not they will be useless to you too, in which case I may as well keep them :)
I am not "selling" because I dont need a load of hassle, demands for refunds etc etc, ebay is the place for that.
I have asked where you are located because the postage costs to some parts of the world are prohibitively expensive, and delivery can be unreliable.
If you want to give me a bit more info please could you use the forum Private Message system, click on my name and send a message.
