Anybody know where I can get a hand knurling tool?

Good point. Most knurling tools are designed to fit in a lathe tool post but a hand held one would be useful. If you find one, do let us know :-)

Beware, not all hand knurling tools come with the wheels to make the diamond shaped knurls we are familiar with, some just make vertical lines, which are fine if you only want to enlarge a shaft or tube. Many do sell the diagonal pattern wheels separately.

They are very handy for odd shaped objects that can't be easily chucked in a lathe such as motor cycle handle bars.
