Thank you, Steve. I didn't think about lubricating the glass, but I'll certainly do so now. Kennion's is a bit far from Canada, but I'll find something suitable a bit closer to home.

I never noticed the vid was so long as I was so busy watching😄

You do great work. detailing on the wood and base of the boiler is perfect.

I like the setup, they go well together and all are very traditional items. Very true to life.

Engine runs wonderfully, has that "new" stiffness but ruins at very low pressure so very good.

All in all most impressive.

You got some beautiful machinery there.
I love the idea of the brickwork.
Perhaps it would have been a great idea to build everything on one display plate?
At least the boiler, engine and perhaps a condenser.
A nice condenser would prevent burned fingers.🙂
But the general restoration work looks superb.👍

Cheers,
Danny

Hell Danny i did think about one plate for the whole display but it was the weight as i am not the man i once was. all options for additions to improve it are on the table ..we shall see.
Thanks for your nice comments Danny....Steve

Many thanks for the offer, Steve, but I think I have found something suitable, though not nearby as I live in a small village within sight of the end of the known universe.  I just have to wait a month or so for it to arrive from China.

I'll let you know how it works out.

Everything turned out extremely well on your Beam engine and Boiler. I can watch this over and over and I have! Well done, Steve.

Hello, Steve.

Just thought you'd like to know that I received my silicone tube from China the other day and used it today to install my sight glass. Everything worked perfectly, and the tip about the washing up liquid made it easy indeed.

Many thanks for the help.
