Hello, I am a member of the local train collectors association in Seattle, Washington and we recently decided to showcase some Erector set models at our monthly meet. We normally meet to trade old Lionel and American Flyer trains but we have been adding an occasional event to share our other collections that members may have.  I took 14 of the sets and models and other members brought their builds as well. A few of the photos are a bit blurry, but they are what I have. I hope you all enjoy seeing this great display ! The final photo is a new display I built of the Chicago Elevated Railway using mostly Meccano parts and Lionel standard gauge track and trains. I did not have any room left in my car to take this to the show but will take it next time.

Great display.

Thank you for sharing.

I can't imagine the number of years it took to complete all of these builds.

I have two fully restored 8 1/2 and one 10 1/2 sets that I am saving in the event I ever get grandchildren.

The build of the elevated track in the last picture is exquisite!

Thank you for sharing the photos.

I have two complete 8 1/2 sets (one is the ONLY toy that survived my childhood; and which I had restored) and a 10 1/2 set--all three sets are fully restored to the Greenberg Inventory by a guy in Allen, Texas (seller name on eBay: johndeerebill1).  They are so beautiful I have been reluctant to bust them up and build out of them.

But seeing these pictures, is tempting me....😈

I bought them as gifts for my future grandkids. And with 4 daughters, you would think my odds would be pretty good. But, none of my daughters seem to be interested in children at the moment. My oldest, who is 30 and married, told me recently that "children would interfere with their world travel plans".

Ugh...😩

Charlie, I'm sure a few of us on the forum would put ourselves up for adoption if steam engines and erector sets are involved 😄😆

I've been working on a ferris wheel that I must have started a year ago. Can't imagine how many hours are into these builds!! Love the elevated track idea.
