Hi Folks
I had a bit of luck in an antique shop yesterday and purchased a nice horizontal engine with water pump attached.

Full story here.

(I just noticed Tapatalk removed the link if I had http in the URL)

Dennis (Scorpion2NZ) has ID'd it as a possible Perseus, but there are a few differences that I can see.

Thanks in advance.

That does indeed look like a Perseus.
Available as separate castings from AJ Reeves. The builder of your engine elected to make their own baseplate by the looks of it, probably to save on costs.
Good engines if properly built..
Nice purchase!

Good to know. Many thanks!
I'll fix the alignment problem and make a vid one day. Too many projects on the shelf at the mo'.

Rather you than me sorting that alignment out, the trunk guide even looks misaligned vertically. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
