Does this happen?

Business planning meeting:
"Hmmm. What are some project we can undertake that will make us money?"

"How about the M10 armored ammo trailer. Our research tells us it'll make us a mint."

"Really? OK, let's not do it"

...either as part of a set of common US trailers, like a jeep trailer, Ben Hur, water trailer, ammo trailer, fuel trailer, etc. This would allow more potential sales than a single trailer.

Or... if someone releases an updated M8 HMC etc and includes the ammo trailer with it.

I agree that a release of trailers would be welcome and could be a potential money maker. If released in a set of three or four given they were all for the same time period. An ammo trailer, the Ben Hur trailer, a water trailer and a light trailer for the jeep.

Afaik most(all?) trailers we have as injectionmoulded kits started out as being part of another kit, the Italeri trailers fex were originally included in the different originally Max/Peerless Dodge offerings (the fueltrailer was included in the Commandcar fex!!!). They were still included while under the Airfixlabel but when Italeri took over both them as well as the sixpounder wich was included in the Chverolet 15 cwt truck as well as the Bedford Portee was released seperatly and the trucks dident include them anymore.
Same for most german trailers if Im not mistaken, they are ususlly included in the Flakgun kits or together with vehicles.

My point here is that I think the only way we will see these trailers released is with a "mother" vehicle or gun, so lets hope that AFV-Club fex will include a tralier with the M8.
Releasing a trailer seperatly without a gun or a vehicle is probably to risky economical.

A nice kit of the German Sd.Ah. 52 ammo trailer. It shares some parts with one of their FlaK gun kits but the ammo box part is unique to the trailer kit.
