Hello!

I can´t figure out the differences among the Voyager Models Stug III gun barrels:

http://www.voyagermodel.com/productdeta ... id=VBS0124

http://www.voyagermodel.com/productdeta ... id=VBS0125

http://www.voyagermodel.com/productdeta ... id=VBS0126

Could anyone help me?

TIA,

Fabrício

Fabricio,

The photo of the muzzle brake is the same for each type but should be different if you look more closely at the drawings. The first example has a round end and a round back and that is correct for the photo of the muzzle brake. The second example has an elliptical end and round back if you look closely at the drawings and third one has an elliptical end and back. They have confused things by having the same muzzle brake in all three examples.

Regards,

Tom

Hello, Tom!

Thank you for the help.

So, we can consider that the first example (VBS0124) is a late pattern muzzle brake and the second (VBS0125) and third (VBS0126) are, respectively, middle and patterns?

All the best,

Fabrício

Fabricio,

I don't think they can be classified as early, middle or late as I have seen some late vehicles with what you would call early style and some earlier vehicles with what you would call late style. I suggest you find a photo of a vehicle and try and go with the one it has, if you can see it that is.

OK, Tom! Thank you again for the explanation.
My intent is reproduce an early model Stug (Dragon 6320) with an "early style" muzzle brake. So I have to find an appropriated after market gun barrel/muzzle brake for it. I think I will get the Griffon Model 7.5cm Kw.K40 L/48 Barrel (LB35021):

All the best,
Fabrício
