Verlinden Grant interior use on Academy?

How does the Verlinden Grant interior (for the Tamiya kit) compare to what comes with the Academy Grant? Thought of grabbing the Verlinden version and picking out the 'good' parts to replace the Academy bits if it's worthwhile.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Hi Jesse,

I had the same idea! I dry fitted some of the Verlinden interior parts to the Academy M3. In my opinion only minor modifications have to be done. With all the hatches open the model will look very good, I think.

Regards,
Thomas

Hi folks,

I did a build blog of this one a while back. Most but not all of the pics are still there. I just used plastic card to correct the interior.

There is a build feature here

http://armorama.kitmaker.net/modules.ph ... artid=2289

and a walkaround here of Monty from IWM London here

http://armorama.kitmaker.net/modules.ph ... artid=3286

and one here for the Bovington Example

Despite some issues with the kit it was a really fun build.

Hope that helps.

Some of your photos are gone from the build log Alan. It's a really nice build.

Hi Jesse,

I think most of the build is covered in the build feature. Unfortunately things get moved over time, but it was a really enjoyable build.

Cheers

Al
