Hello Steve,
Really hard to say where this picture has been taken?
Do you have picture of road, house etc....
There is a great french forum specialized on bunker on mediterranean sea!
http://sudwall.superforum.fr/les-plages ... d-azur-f5/
I lived 20 years near provence beach, but I'm sorry, I can't recognize this place!

I have a question too
Do you know the place where this picture has been taken?
I know near Paris but where?

Thanks

Noel:
The photos were taken by Col. J. B. Jarret (US Army Ordnance) in 1945 and they are from his collection at the Military History Institute in Carlisle Barracks, PA. The collection identifies the location as OW Ordnance # 64 Paris, but I have no idea where in the paris area this was actually located.

Thanks Steve
I would like to know where in the paris area this was actually located, but I will find
There are lot of afv on this ordnance like
-wespe
-minenraumerpanzer III
-bergehetzer
-flakpanzer 38t
-SWS
-panther
-jagdpanther
-128mm pak44
-semovente 149/40
-möbelwagen
-nashorn
In Panzerwrecks 4, author spoke about Le Havre for a return to US of a panther.
Could you confirm that Le Havre harbor is the starting point for aberdeen?
If one day you could publish a third "Panzers in Gunsight" with pictures of OW Ordnance # 64 Paris and panzer in Aberdeen, you will be great!
Thanks
I've seen your question in sudwall forum, wait and see.

Noel:
The holding yard for the technical intelligence collection is a bit of a mystery. From what I know there were two yards, one near Paris and one near Regensberg. The Jarett photos are not very good and are on 35mm slide. To make matters worse, MHI has a policy against using scanners. So to copy the Jarrett slides, I have to put them on a light box and then attach magnification filters to my camera. This is not the best for quality. Bill Auerbach may be right about Le Havre. I have never seen a good account of this issue.

I have no plans to do a "Panzer in the Gunsights 3" as I don't have enough new photos. There are not a lot of photos of the Paris yard. Here are a few more.

I think somewhere near Cavalaire, but I prefer waiting experts from sudwall forum.
