I just got the excellent Finemolds Type 5, but aside from one photo of the prototype, I can find nothing else...any suggestions on what the paint scheme may have been had they gone into production? How many crew members, etc?
It is probably the best reference in English for the Chi-Ri, including photos, plans, history and technical description.
The book also includes in the back cover two excellent color profiles, one dark green from a prototype and a hipothetical profile for a production tank, with the standard three colors: dark green, light green and sand.
The photos in the interior of the book of the prototype captured by the USA, show a lighter color, so it might be either sand, light green or whatever light color you find appropiate (light gray?), you might find one of these photos in Zaloga's New Vanguard book on the Japanese tanks.
