Yesterday I was reading in deep Panzerwrecks Nr20 and I saw, with much surprise, a caption of a Tiger II wreck on the Russian front with a little hole on the frontal armor by the bow machine gun. The text says that it was drilled at close range by a Russian AT gun killing the driver and the MG gunner, later the tank was hit by a bomb on the turret roof from a Sturmovik plane. I ever tought that there was no way for any Allied gun to do that to a Tiger II.

No text.
No tank in the second WW was invulnerable but the Tigers were pretty close, but not enough to say they were.

If my memory is correct there are 2 pics and one is captioned as a test of a new projectile. No one ever reads the captions!
