Hello,

as up to now there exists no well detailed early Tiger I kit i want to build one from a Cyber Hobby Fehrmann Tiger kit (CH-6335) using Tamiya Tiger I early roadwheels as i have a Tamiya donor kit sitting around. Now i like to ask the Tiger I specialists if the Tamiya Tiger I early roadwheels are quite accurate for an early Tiger around Kursk or was it better to use Dragon Tiger I initial roadwheels.

Best regards,
Peter

why don't you order the Otto Carius from Cyber Hobby? It has the best Early wheels available anywhere; and you don't have to waste a kit, because you can build it with the leftover steel wheels and tracks from your Fehrmann, and you'll get a valid Tiger similar to the "Tiger I Feb. 1944 production" .

Hello David,

thank you for answering me. This is the solution to get a very accurate early Tiger. But i would like to use the Tamiya early roadwheels if they can be called accurate. My Tamiya kit isn`t complete anymore so it wouldn`t hurt me using this wheels. I also have a set of Modelkasten early Tiger I roadwheels but they just don`t look right to me.

Best regards,
Peter

Are you going to dirty/muddy them up?? If so, then it doesn't matter what you are using, but first check to see if they fit and align correctly.

...in the Carius kit, they now come with 2 spare tyres and 2 tyreless wheels.
