It was great seeing you relaxed and enjoying a show instead of working your tail off, Danny. Glad you made it!

And thanks again for everything you've done for the Society.

was the judge's choice (good meeting you Jim!) and Burden of Sorrow dio by Rick Lawler was people's choice.

It was a terrific show - the AMPS guys did a great job. I think there was ~ 650 entires which I gather is a record for the show. The quality of the entires, the seminars, and the organization was all top notch.

An outstanding build and it survived a flight from California to Chicago and a van ride from Chicago to Auburn. It was a rough trip as several of this other models had to have impromptu surgery before they were entered. There is probably the complete story on Track Link.

Hitching my horses to that "Thank-you" wagon too. The crew did a fantastic job, registration was a snap and the seminar line up was first class. I look forward to seeing everyone in Atlanta next year. And with Anniston and Ft Benning located around 100 miles (160 kilometers "fur ewe fer-n-ers") away I smell a side trip cooking. Thank you again to the 2012 AMPS Nats crew.
Outta here. Mike sends . . .

John, Pete, Mike, Mark et al, congratulations on a truly excellent show. I realize that there was probably a helluva lot of frantic paddling going on, but it all looked like smooth sailing to most of us. Looking forward to Atlanta!

Hey! First of all it was great show. The So Cal AMPS gang had a blast. We are already planning for Atlanta in 2013. Charavt was a great show chair. Nice to see Mummey made it out and share some of his builds. The drive from Chicago to Auburn was rough. A Ford Econline van generates special harmonic vibrations that can pulverize models. We were all fortunate that repairs were made and the AMPS judging system did it's job in noted Transportation damage. Jim's Best of Show winner suffered on the way back to LA.
All I can say to others reading this is you need to start planning and building Now. BTW Neil and Georg you guys are on the list for 2015 out here if it happens. I will say Flounders new shirt is rather befitting. But we will have to number the Chuck's.
So see you next year

to say the least!!! I have never been to a show outside of Cali and to be quite honest was a bit nervous about going, yet upon arrival I felt right at home. It was awesome to meet new heads and see old heads and check out all the models and vendors. I had some really nice conversations with fellow ML'ers and Amp'ers and it's a really good feeling to bust out of my box and chill with fellow wheeled fanatics like myself. The hang was how can I say "killer" and not sound cheeseball but it was. The highlight for me was walking into the WW2 exhibit and seeing the very truck I brought to the show in all it's super badassed glory right before my eyes. I could not even take a picture as it wouldn't do it justice. The smell of the oil and steel words can not describe.
For all the kind words from fellow modelers on the stuff I brought , a heartfelt thank you. One of the things I brought I almost blew off taking but my daughter said to take it, so I gave her the medal in her honour.
I hope to see all again at the next one whenever or wherever it may be.
Props to AMPS.
