Let's see how this model fares in this blog!  My rendering of the subject TriStar kit.

nice diorama

the tank looks rather blue, but maybe that is my bad eyesight or funny camera work?

it would be nice to get Craig Ellis on here to look at the tank itself - he is "Mr Tauch" as far as i am concerned, and am sure would like to see this
Regards,

Nicholas

Yes, it did get to be a bit "blau". I used an old Tamiya acrylic (+20 years old) then shadowed certain parts for contrast.

Nice rendition Scott. I always enjoy seeing a Tauch finished, still my favourite kit despite some of its build issues. I hope your going to sort out the box around the base? very distracting from a quality finish.

Two minor points to comment on Nicholas:
The wooden beam was only carried on PzRgt6 Tauchs during Barbarossa, not this early.
The big inverted "Y" may have been the emblem for the fourth Tauch Regiment in 1940 (skull, angler, shark, ?), so wouldn't have been seen alongside the angler fish. I got a clearer photo of a Tauchiii recently and this emblem looks like either a whale's tail or possibly a sword rising from the waves.

Wow, thanks for the link, great site! How you’ve managed to collect so many photos of the same vehicle is amazing. Great reference, thanks.
