Am I right in thinking that the two reactive blocks on the turret front just to the left of the gun barrel can be swivelled down through 180 degrees as shown in these photos:

Why did I click, why!

Cheers,

is that it looks like it could work as a Syrian T-72 with the new gunners sight and cupola setup.

some work, since the czech M4 version includes a different hull back arrangement, but it would be doable combining a "standard" T-72B hull with the T-72M4 turret.

What you call "new gunner sights and cuppola setup" is the "Tank Universal Reconfiguration Modular System T-series tank fire-control system (FCS)" -in short "TURMS-T"- produced by the italian manufacturer Galileo, and can be seen not only on Syrian T-72M1, but also on T-72 "Ural" and T-72AV.

Trumpeter screwed the turret shape in the same manner Tamiya did more than 20 years ago. A lot gets hidden behind the ERA blocks, but it makes still one wonder why such things happen. There are also other minor faults, like missing bump stops, wrong drain holes arrangement etc...

But we will most likely not get a better any soon.
