Hi Everyone,

Is there a good match for seafoam green, as used in AAVP-7 interiors, in either the Humbrol, Revell or Vallejo ranges. Want to brush paint it hence the choice of these particular paint brands.

Thanks,
Andy

Krylon makes two shades, "Pistacio", which Mike Mummey informs us is used by the tuna boat crews as touch up. Also, they make one called "Celery", another good match. It doesn't answer your question, but those both work great.
Failing that, I also have a great mix using Model Master Acryl colors.

Hope this helped a little bit,
Rod

when I lived in Germany, I found a nice color in a Revell tin that was a real good match for sea foam green. It's been a while, but I think it was something simple like "light green". I looked on their website, and I think it is still carried as light green, but I can't be real sure because of the variations in the computer monitor and their leaflet of colors.

Andy,

My usual 'match' is Tamiya XF-21 Sky.

Therefore I would suggest an equivalent colour in your preferred ranges (anything RAF underside 'sky/pale green' would be my guess).

Regards,
John

The Sea Foam Green touch up paint of choice for Lance'Criminals' since 1775.
However they now have Sea Foam Green available in a rattle can with an NSN.

And Rod, be nice to the NCOIC. The paint pictured is manufactured by 'Cammy Top'. Here is the backside of the can with the NSN:

You can see a tool locker from an R7 in the background that has just been repainted. One can outta get you through a few models.

I have always used MM Pale Green FS34227. I think it is a very close match to the interior colors of the M106s, M113, and M577 I crewed on.

We have produced an exact match for seafoam green in our small paint range. The paint range uses general purpose thinners as a solvent and works well on plastic and resin.

$5 per humbrol tinlet.

The colour match is based on the colour used in Australian M113A1s which is the same as most M113s and LVTP/ AAVPs.
