After the marathon A7V conversion I thought I'd build something simple and uncritical. This is Amusing Hobby’s 1/35 paper panzer “Rutscher”, aka (falsely) as the “E 5”.  The kit is not sold separately but is a bonus pack within one of their E-100 kits.  I got mine from eBay.
I modified the running gear to accommodate wide Winterketten, from Kaizen . . . . yes, I know but it is my fantasy design.  This required scratching new sprockets and altering the idlers and road wheel attachments. I also modified some details such as the exhaust’s position. The PE is Voyager's, weld beads are Archer's and the nuts are Master Club's. The beautiful barrels are from Paper Panzer Productions.

It has a worn and muddy white wash over a typical tri-colour camo. I'm getting more comfortable with oils and Rinaldi's "mapping" technique. For practice I weathered the summer camo before I applied the hairspray and white wash . . . and then did it all over again. The beastie would certainly have been small . . . the figure is a scale 178 cm tall (5’ 10”). This will be a future article in Military Illustrated Modeller.

PS - I have an extra set of the brass barrels (un-blackened) if anyone needs them.

Cheers

Not recoiless but essentially a mortar, the PWH 8 H 63 smooth bore.  These fired an 8 cm projectile; either a high explosive shell or a hollow charge.
