just recieved 2 of the kits today i thought i would concentrate my shots on the wheels and the tracks, personally speaking i think it will build into a pretty decent kit the best kit of the Sdkfz 7 in 1/72 scale by far

Hi Ric,

I had already made up my mind to get a couple and looking at the sprues I think I will be doing it sooner than later. The tracks look very similar to the MK72 ones for the Demag so I would expect them to perform equally admirably. Thanks for the pictures.

All the best,

Paul

Still not happy with the tyres,
Wheels & tracks are fine,
the only other part is the bonnet
but I suspect that was caused by the modeller
who built the dispaly kit in a previous post on it
from aa model show I think.

Hi Elliott

I don't know much about these vehicles.

With the front wheels, are the old Hasgegawa wheels better ? or as bad, or worse ?

Just wondering as I have one or two old sets of Hasegawa wheels that I could donate

cheers

Hi Neil,
I suspect I'll get some of these kits but I'll replace the
the tyres with spare Hasegawa sdkfz 234 tyres
The Hasegawa sdkfz 7 tyres are worse
Someone posted here their Hasegawa sdkfz 7 with Puma tyres
& it made a huge improvement, I think
You sand the tyres of the Sdkfz 7 wheels
& then drill a 5mm? hole through the Puma wheel hubs
& drop the Sdkfz 7 hub/wheel into the Puma tyre.

Hi Elliott

I think I'm in the picture now. The hub is fine, the rubber tyre isn't.

cheers

The Haseqawa 234 wheels & tyres are separate parts so thats half the job done right there
here is the onthewaymodels review & pics of it.

& yes it was Stefans lovely model showing the the 234 tyres I was think of, see lower in this thread

you could always replace the front wheels altogether, do you think the front wheels in this picture are from an sdkfz251? or is the angle of the photograph making them look smaller?

found another if there the same wheel they look bigger in this pic
